Today is a celebration of beauty, style and elegance. The Geneva Concours d'Elegance is in full swing in downtown Geneva and is a very special event that we immensely enjoy!

Open to the public, all can enjoy seeing and experiencing decades of design, technology and engineering built into some of the most unique models ever created.

Take a break from the heat and stop into Liz & Kate while you're out strolling throughout the event!

The prettiest, light knit sweaters are here to enjoy during the cooler late summer temps and all throughout fall and winter!

The Geneva Concours d'Elegance is this Sunday and we're outfit ready for the various vintage, classic, modern and exotic automobiles that will be on display at this one of a kind event in downtown Geneva!

Whether your preference is a Bentley, Ferrari, Shelby Cobra, Porsche, VW Bug etc., we'll dress you perfectly to coordinate with your favorite car!

The Concours takes place from 10 - 4 and is free to the public. You'll enjoy seeing the beauty and elegance of vehicles manufactured decades ago, through the modern and exotic stylings of current day models.

We'll be open from 10-5 Sunday, stop in to see us while you're strolling down 3rd Street!

We had the greatest pleasure sponsoring the Geneva Children's Business Fair this past weekend! Viki and Lynne also thoroughly enjoyed being judges, which allowed us to chat with these young entrepreneurs about their businesses, learning the ins and outs of their products, inspirations, marketing and selling techniques. These kids were simply amazing!
This annual event continues to grow and will now be in downtown Geneva going forward! Want to get your bright minded, creative kid involved? Reach out to this fantastic organization to get more details! It's truly a fantastic experience!

Meet Lynne & Larry! This dynamic duo absolutely LOVES working together! And they have very specific loves about the shop and Geneva!

Lynne's favorite products in the shop are the World's Softest Socks! She is a kid in a candy store each time she orders the new styles for each season and has not 1, but 2 drawers filled with these amazing socks!

What she loves most about Geneva is the tight knit, family oriented community and the amazing support that it offers. She has enjoyed her retail career in Geneva for 20 years, in addition to her wholesale business, Cotton Deco, for 16 years, and has appreciated every moment with her customers, who have become wonderful friends!

Something you may not know about her, is that she used to be a correctional officer in the juvenile division of the IL State Department of Corrections. You'll have to stop in to get the whole scoop...it's a very detailed explanation!

Now onto Larry!!! What are his favorite products in the shop? Everything dog, of course!! Dog shirts, totes, tumblers, socks, notepads and dishes!

Geneva is so incredibly dog friendly and he truly loves all the attention he gets from passers by on walks, along with all his friends, 2-legged and 4-legged who stop in the shop.

Something you don't know about him is that he's a German Poodle! Not all poodles originate from France and he definitely has a true strong-willed German personality!

Our Meet the Team series continues today with Taylor and Viki!

Taylor has been working with her Auntie Lynne, learning everything retail, since the wee age of 15. She's now 22, in her college era and has been on the Liz & Kate team for 5 years. Here's some fun stuff about her!

😍 Her favorite item in the shop is the Harper RFID crossbody bag. She's not a fan of larger sized bags and the Harper perfectly holds all of her essentials when she's out and about.
😍 She loves the 3rd Street vibe in downtown Geneva and enjoys all the different shops and restaurants, especially Eye Candy Bakery.
😍 Something quite interesting about Taylor is that she's a storm chaser! For real!! She studies meteorology and hits the road each year looking for supercells and tornadoes during the storm season. You'll have to ask her all about this next time you see her!

Viki joined Liz & Kate in 2020 when all was not right in the world. Although there were many uncertainties about how small businesses would succeed, social media became her undertaking, so that we could stay connected with and help our customers while our doors were closed. 4 years later, she is our social media maven and such a bright spirit in the shop! Keep reading to learn more about Viki!

😍 Her favorite item in the shop is our biggest/littlest crossbody bag. She loves the versatility, being able to change the strap to use in different ways. It's such a handy bag!
😍 There is so much she loves about Geneva, but a favorite is the Christmas season and the Christmas Walk weekend. She feels like she's in a movie set of a small quaint town.
😍 Bet you didn't know this! Her degree is in computer science, held a job in this field for 2 years and realized this was not for her. So she moved to Spain to teach English! She has taken on many different roles over the years and is still figuring out who she wants to be when she grows up.

True work wives, Joyce has been with Liz & Kate for 2 years and Juli for 2 1/2 years. They are the funniest, silliest, strongest, most supportive and hardest working women, both personally and professionally!! Here are some fun facts about each of them:
Joyce!
😍 Her favorite item in the shop is the Peruvian cotton jacket. She loves the style, texture and weight. They make her outfits complete, as you can see in this video!
😍 She moved to the burbs from Chicago and loves Geneva for its wide variety of shops and restaurants, and the beautiful scenery. Makes her feel like she's always on vacation!
😍 Something you might not know about her is that she had a remarkable travel experience walking on the Great Wall of China and standing in Tiananmen Square, which were very humbling for her. Chat with her about her travels next time you stop in!

😍 Her favorite item in the shop is the microfiber lens cloth! So practical, she uses it every day to clean her glasses.
😍 She loves Geneva for its safe community and wonderful surroundings to raise a family.
