Hi I’m Dr. Joshua Bletzinger DC, Doctor of Chiropractic, Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician ®, Certified Athletic Trainer, with countless postdoctoral training hours in functional medicine, clinical nutrition and functional endocrinology. In 2004 I opened my first chiropractic and sports medicine clinic in Geneva, Illinois.
Since 2004 I’ve morphed Performance Chiropractic through 3 expanding clinics to what is now known as Fox Valley Integrated Health. My current clinical services are functional medicine and physical medicine. My clinical focus is to help people reverse chronic health challenges such as type 2 diabetes, auto-immune conditions, and cognitive impairment. But there are a handful of other clinical services I still provide as we see a major healthcare reform happening around us.
In the beginning of my practice years, functional medicine was just a blip on the radar so I focused on what I knew all so well… sports injury. While I grew a high volume chiropractic and sports medicine practice I was taking care of Olympic figure skaters and professional hockey players. I provided sports medicine services to a local high school and unconditionally coached youth hockey.
But things were changing for me. I was not the youthful hockey player I once was. I was seeing my dad’s health fail under type 2 diabetes. I was seeing my grandmother losing the battle against dementia. I was foreseeing the health challenges stacking against me.
