We received this lovely note and paper heart in the mail the other day and it made us feel so good! This woman is writing to independent bookstores in the US to thank them for what they do and we were proud to have received one of those letters! It really is true that a little act of kindness can bring joy to the recipient, even if the giver may never see it! So many of you told us this holiday season that you made a point to shop with us so that we could continue to be here for you and just like the note, that made us feel so good! ✨For many years, the Geneva History Museum has invited local nonprofit organizations to decorate a Christmas tree to display inside the museum. Many downtown businesses this year have kindly offered space, inside and outside of their buildings, to host the different Geneva Giving Trees so that this special community-driven ✨tradition✨ can continue. We’re proud to host the Fabyan Villa Museum and Japanese Garden Tree.

✨Located inside the Fabyan Forest Preserve, these historic sites reveal Colonel George and Nelle Fabyan’s interests in art, culture, and scientific discovery. The Villa was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and the estate was where modern code-breaking began. The Garden, installed in 1910, was a sanctuary for the Fabyans. Both sites are operated by Preservation Partners of the Fox Valley.

The weather didn’t dampen the holiday spirit that was everywhere last night! We had the most adorable Girl Scouts from troop 897 singing for us by the tree. We also had the most beautiful and graceful ballerina dancing by our window for 2 hours! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to enjoy these talented young people who were eager to spread holiday cheer and to those of you who shopped with us. We appreciate your support! We’ll be open from 10 to 5 today.

✨Tomorrow evening kicks off the annual Christmas Walk weekend. We have a magical evening planned for our Harvey’s Tales friends to enjoy.

🎄Geneva Girl Scout Troop 897 will be singing on the patio from 5-6 pm spreading holiday cheer.
🎄From 6:30-8:30 will bring your favorite characters from The Nutcracker to life! You will be able to view the dancing from outside.
🎄On Friday, Dec. 1st we will be staying open until 8:30 pm for this special evening of local holiday fun!
