Dear Friends, in light of yesterday’s tragic event of an assassination attempt on former President Trump and related deaths we are advised to cancel the event.
There are not only security concerns but also our presence there might be misinterpreted as a protest against former President Trump and the RNC.
Our sources tell us that the focus at the convention will emphatically not be on Ukraine or foreign policy in general. It is likely that the entire Republican National Convention will be reoriented around the aftermath of the attack.
Our goal was to thank Republicans for their support thus far and to encourage them to continue standing with Ukraine until complete victory is achieved. Our messages and unveiling of the flag may seem "tone deaf" or not in keeping with reality and met with hostility.
We appreciate everyone’s willingness and readiness to Stand for Ukraine. God Bless the United States of America! Slava Ukraini! .

My wife, Nataliya Davoha, our girls, and I were incredibly honored and privileged to participate in Mountain Seed Foundation's 2023 program for from . It was one of those "transformational" experiences that's nearly impossible to convey in words, but this work was beautifully highlighted by 60 Minutes recently (Michael Rey). This weekend we had the opportunity to share this important work and other efforts to provide ongoing medical aid to with one of our local news channels in Wisconsin.

Our family has come to know many of you so well over the past 17 months through your support for and Rotary Club of Milwaukee efforts to provide medical relief for Ukraine. We are incredibly appreciative of everything you've all done.

We're making a more personal request today for people to support and share the Mykola Zabavchuk Memorial Fund (https://mountainseedfoundation.org/memorial-fund) that Nataliya Davoha, Douglas Davoha Davis, and our family established in honor of her late cousin. Mykola was killed in action in one year ago today. This fund will support mental health initiatives for families devastated by this conflict, and particularly like Mykola's. We hope that the memory and legacy of this remarkable individual lives on through Mountain Seed Foundation, and that this fund will help support programs in Ukraine for many years to come.

In addition to acute medical relief, mental health support represents both an urgent and also long term public health need for Ukraine. Our Foundation intends to be a part of building and scaling those programs in Ukraine for many years to come.

Today marks one year since Mykola Zabavchuk was killed in action near Bakhmut, Ukraine while bravely defending the country he loved. We honor his memory, his family, and the lasting impact he left behind.

Mykola was the cousin of Nataliya Davoha, the wife of our Vice Chair of the Board, Douglas Davoha Davis. Their family established the Mykola Zabavchuk Memorial Fund to honor the memory, valor, and sacrifice of Mykola, all those like him, and also the Gold Star families left behind. This fund aims to provide mental health assistance, foster community support, and restore hope to families like Mykola's, navigating life without their defender.

Join us as we honor Mykola's legacy and strive to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by war. Your donation can start a chain reaction, but only if you tell others about the cause. So, please share with family and friends.
