Ready for another book tasting. Students get to choose a book that’s just right for them to read in their English class. There are lots of variety to choose from in this book tasting.

New week means it’s time for a new SAT Word of the Week: corroborate. Do you know what it means? Can you think of a synonym?

It is Monday and time for a new SAT Word of the Week: conviction. What does it mean? Can you use it in a sentence?

These ACTI students finished our community puzzle today and were able to choose the next puzzle to be completed.

This is their chosen activity during the downtime between ACTI and their next class.

Another round of book tasting is ready. This time, it’s for the Monster Stories class. Students need to sample (look at, read a bit, etc) a few books before they settle on which one they want to use to complete the assignment. Lots of excellent stories are ready to be chosen!

Time for a new SAT Word of the Week: underscore.

Here’s my example of a sentence: Let me underscore the importance of teaching information literacy in libraries as a vital part of education. 

It was a busy day for Freshman Library Orientation. Students participated in a scavenger hunt all around the library finding clues that would unlock the box. They were determined to unlock the box within a set time to get the treats!

A new week means that there’s a new SAT Word of the Week: discord. Do you know what it means? Can you use it in a sentence?
