QUESTION: “Do you do cupping on the legs/lower body?”
ANSWER: ABSOLUTELY!

Now, obviously the most common areas for cupping are the upper body—back, neck, & shoulders…
✨HOWEVER✨
Cups are also fantastic for lower-body work such as sciatic issues, & post-hip/leg surgery (of course with doctors approval) to assist in the healing process, reduce scar tissue, & improve range of motion.

My client here had surgery on her hip, & was approved for some cupping action in her lower body, specifically targeting her adductors, re**us femoris, gracilis, sartorius, & vastus medialis as she complained of muscle rigidity & tightness through this area. While we also did cupping on her hip, glutes, & the rest of her upper leg, we also did some work on her tensor fasciae latae to help her improve hip & leg mobility & range of motion post-surgery.

While in static-mode, we also did some assisted hip stretches to give the cupping magic a little ✨oomph✨ 🪄

While lower-body cupping isn’t AS common, it’s magical for any problem areas relating to the glutes & legs as well💁🏻‍♀️

Long time no post!😂
I have spent the beginning of this year being a busy little bee and making some changes within the studio to bring in some brand new energy to start the year off right!

One way to cleanse your energy is to start with your space—move things around frequently!

I am loving this layout and have noticed a HUGE difference in energy flow, which allows me to better tap in to the energy around me, including my clients and what they need.

Finding balance is hard. Juggling all of life’s demands and making our own well-being a priority seems to be a continuous struggle for many, myself included🙋🏻‍♀️

So this week, DON’T FORGET to take time to sit with yourself and really listen to your body. What does it need? Where are you carrying tension or pain? What feels tight? Cupping is just my favorite thing to do, mainly because the results are always better than I expect!

Client presented with frozen shoulder. He has been doing everything he can to treat it before considering surgery; ie seeing multiple doctors, physical therapy, acupuncture, scraping, massage, & more. Cupping has been the most effective addition for him in terms of pain and range of motion.

Cupping doesn’t always look organized and pretty, sometimes I use my senses to feel out where the worst areas on the client are and then place the cups there. Regardless of how scary it might “look”, it’s all about the results🙌🏻✌🏻
