If you're looking to trim your midsection, exercising alone won't cut it. Nutrition is key when it comes to getting lean. Check out my article to learn more.
As requested, my thoughts on good carbs vs bad carbs.
Progressive overload aka the gradual increase of stress/weight during exercise is a simple, but often overlooked principle. Whether it's weight training or cardio, you should be looking to continually improve your fitness via weight/rep increases or duration/intensity increases. Too often, we get in the habit of performing the same routine with the same weight or intensity so remember keep challenging yourself!
Words can't really express how great it felt to have my friend Cody show up at the gym today with a printed copy of my ebook for me to sign. I'm glad my ebook was able to help him learn and apply flexible dieting to his lifestyle. If you want sustainable nutrition, flexible dieting is definitely the way to go. My lean physique guide is available for purchase here www.payhip.com/julianbrownfitness
If you're eyeballing your serving sizes, there's a high probability you're underestimating how much you're actually eating especially if you don't have much experience measuring food portions. If you're trying to lose weight, I highly recommend weighing and measuring your food.
Wanting to try a macros based fat loss diet, but don't how to set your macros up? Check out my newest article on how to manage macros for fat loss. http://www.askthetrainer.com/managing-macros-fat-loss/
A few more weeks and my deadlifts will be back up to my pre-hamstring injury weight. However, my elbow has been bothering me a tad. Reminds me of my baseball playing days a lifetime ago. See more in week 6 of my training blog here http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4onygc_my-journey-week-6-episode-6_sport
Yeah I can write you a meal plan that says eat this amount of only these foods, but long term how realistic is that and what do you learn? However, if I teach you about energy balance, and micro and macro nutrition, those are tools you'll have for life.
Eating nutritious foods can definitely help lower calorie consumption but it's not a requirement for getting Getting lean and clean eating are mutually exclusive and it possible to eat junk and get shredded http://www.askthetrainer.com/clean-eating-pros-cons/
Depth check✔️ Are my squats low enough 😉🏋

Quick truth about myself. My meal prep consists of the making the meal I'm about to eat. I have no clue what's for my next meal. has given me the luxury to eat and macro plan as I go.
Hamstring is recovering smoothly and deadlifts are slowly creeping back up. My upper body workouts have been stellar in week 4 of my video training log. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4mkf2m_my-journey-week-4-episode-4_lifestyle
