There have been lots of fun and exciting activities at Lighthouse Enrichment Club in the past few weeks. Ms. Annie has been going through character traits every week. We learned about Kindness, Patience, Honesty and Love. We made super hero capes and played follow the leader. Innoverse STEAM Center provided some awesome space art lessons that explored vantage point and persective with oil pastels and made amazing solar eclipse paintings while we learned all about the phases of the moon. We also learned about the power of the sun and all of the things it does for life on Earth. We made fun solar prints and got to see them develop. Such a busy few weeks but we can't wait for more.

San Tan Charter School Recker Campus, Grades PreK-6 is the place to be after school on Wednesdays for the Innoverse Makers Club. There is such an awesome group of kids that get together and use their imaginations to make things work! We tested our designs for zip lines and learned how to use hot glue guns safely. We have a little alien friend that helps us and his name is now Squishy (named by the students). Squishy is apparently our club mascot! I can't wait to see what we do next week!

Here’s a fun painting challenge for you!! Go to Dollar Tree and grab this cute wooden pumpkin spice cup. (It’s only $1.25! ) Then, try painting it with only three colors. Even if you paint it with more, I would love to see all of the creativity so be sure to come back and post it here! Let’s see all of those beautiful painted cups!

Thriving Minds Academy, LLC was the place to be for science yesterday! We had fun learning about catapults and kinetic and potential energy. The kids even took it one step further and created their own version of a catapult! We tested and retested and tested some more. It was a blessing to see the creativity and excitement!

Innoverse STEAM Center was at Thriving Minds Academy doing some watercolor painting in the style of Georgia O’Keeffe. There is a wonderful group of teachers and students out there!

Families with teenagers: We are getting ready to launch some teen classes in July and August and we need your input!! Please give any suggestions below regarding best days of the week for teen classes, preferred types of classes (science, watercolor, drawing, painting, coding, etc), and best times of day that would work in your schedule! The more input we get, the better we can build classes that work with the community!
