What an incredible 3 days for the guys. Special Olympics was held in Gillette.
I have many pictures to share. Last night they had a special banquet for everyone. They are so pleased and happy with their medals. I couldn't be prouder of them. Way to go my Sol Domus Guys!

We had a couple piñatas & some virgin margiatas! Some said they are gonna have hangovers. 🤣 Staff were even able to rid of some frustrations on an extra piñata.

The participants at Sol Domus, Inc are looking for some happy, loving, caring, self motivated individuals to help with their daily living needs. Sol Domus works with intellectual, mental and physically disabled adults.

Sol Domus is proud to recognize Julie Koerper on her 23 years with us.
SDI has been serving adults with disabilities for over 25 years, and Julie has been with us almost that long. She is certainly family now. Julie started with SDI at the young age of 18. Julie was a direct care provider for many years, then the house supervisor, and has made her way up to the Co-director of Sol Domus. Julie has raised 4 plus children all while working. We have watched her children grow and some graduating high school.
Julie has continued to have a passion as a caregiver. She has a wealth of knowledge, and there is nothing she won't tackle for the love of all the "guys" we serve. Of all the paths Julie could have gone down, she chose us!
Julie loves and respects her participants and her co-workers. Her co- workers and participants leave her very uplifting and loving notes often.
We love Julie, and we look forward to the future with her.

Our long time employee, Chelsie Edwards, last time bowling with our guys. We’re sure gonna miss her, but wish her nothing but the best as she’s on to new adventures. Lots of memories made throughout her time with us. She will be missed everyday, forever. Don’t forget about us! And come visit when you can. 🌸

Can't believe it was twenty five years ago that our dream came true. I will never forget, with Mark's 100% support, walking into the bank. Mark was working at the coal mine at that time.I spoke with Amir Sancher, president of the bank. I told him about my dream of opening a group home for adults with disabilities. He thought I was crazy. That being said, he gave me a me a loan, because he believed in my idea and supported me. We will never forget Amir, and will be forever grateful to him.
We opened our first group home on June 1st, 1997. We felt as parents if we want it done like we wanted we must open a business of our own. We were the first parents in the state of Wyoming to do such a task.
It wasn't easy, we have had our ups and downs, like with any business. But we made it work and here we are 25 years later. Not with one group home but, three wonderful group homes, and a day program for adults with disabilities. We have so many memories, we have lost loves ones, the hardest part is losing someone you love and have cared for so many years. They truly do become family to us. We are so proud of our organization and the employees we have seen come and go. We recently lost a member of the SDI family. An employee Beth Welper, she was with us for 22 years, recently passed away. She is missed deeply by us all.
We are so happy and proud that we have employees that have been with SDI for 5, 6 8, 9 and 10 years. They are the most amazing ladies and give all our "guys" the best care. The "guys" are respected and treated like family. That has been our purpose and goal for 25 years. All SDI employees and the "guys" make SDI what it is today. We all try our best to ensure all persons served are treated like family, with total respect for each one of them.
Mark and myself have been the most blessed people ever. We have no regrets for what we have built. We are just proud and would love to see another 25 years. We were also blessed with with raising two sons with disabilities, we are so proud of them both. Life has been good to us and we want life to be good to all the people we serve along with each and every one of our employees.
We would not have been successful without so many people supporting us. First, the people we serve, the guardians and family members, our own family support, the Division of Developmental Disabilities for all their support and advice through our 25 years and the community of Gillette.
We want to mention three ladies that have have been with us at such young ages and have made Sol Domus their careers and have made Sol Domus the success it is today. We will be forever grateful to, Jessica Rodell, Julie Koerper, and Shauna Lumbardy. These three ladies have been with us 23 and 24 years.
I also want to mention a few others that we could never be without. Praire Rose Whiteface, Chelsea Edwards, Shena Vandom, Krystal Vandom & Kathy Lopata. Along with all SDI employees! No "I" in teamwork! Always remember that.
25 years, wow! And some said we would never make it, but look at us now!

SDI is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team! We are hiring for splits, weekends, and overnights. These positions require the ability to assist, support, and advocate for adults with disabilities in a fast-paced community setting. Applicants will be required to have or obtain CPR/First Aide, as well as pass a background check, TB test, and drug screening. We offer shift differential, along with paid time off, and medical/dental insurance available after 3 months. 401K offered after 1 year of employment, company match of 3%. Hope everyone had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day! We partied a day late, had a really busy day on Thursday. So we Partied today! Everyone searched for St. Patty's rubber duckies & tattoos, then found coins hidden in some shaving cream. Everyone got funny Leprechaun names, zoom in on the pictures and check the name tags!

Help us wish Ms. Farah a wonderful birthday!!! She was out & busy today...and WAS NOT HAPPY to come back home. This girl can GO!! Once the weather gets better Farah...🤞

Happy Belated Valentines!!
All of the guys made special Valentines for all the residents at Lasting Legacy this year! Due to visiting restrictions, we were unable to deliver personally, but they sure enjoyed making them!

Everyone also made Valentines shirts; some turned out better than others. But it was fun attempting! Here is a pic of some of the guys that did them.

So Adam and his mom, aka Janet, decided Adam wanted a party. So tonight, he bought his roommates dinner! They watched a movie together wrapped in blankets and munched on popcorn. As you can tell by the pictures, the evening was a hit! I love that boy of mine! And all the "guys"!
