Thank you to the Petfinder Foundation for awarding Barren River Animal Welfare Association a 2024 Dog Enrichment Grant! We will use the grant funds for agility and modular dog playground equipment, tunnels, and play structures to supplement our existing play areas. We believe these items will add to the enrichment and daily lives of the 100's of homeless dogs coming through our doors annually.

Hey kids, don't forget Critter Club is this Saturday November 2nd from 9 - 11.
Critter Club is open to all kids 7 - 10 years old, only $10 per session.

FORGET - ME - NOTS ~ $25 ~
For several years now, since COVID; animal shelters have been inundated with homeless animals. Although, it’s relatively easy to adopt out the adorable babies, the older ones and larger ones often struggle to find new families and get overlooked, time after time, after time. Imagine being in a kennel watching others get chosen as you wait patiently to be picked and then another day goes by. Some have even started as puppies and grown up here at the shelter. The following dogs have been at the shelter far too long and are in desperate need of loving homes.
Please consider adopting one of these wonderful fur babies. We have drastically reduced all their adoption fees that started at $110/$150 to a ridiculous $25.00. Everyone of these babies has been vaccinated to date, wormed, flea treated, started on heartworm prevention, microchipped and spay/neutered.
If you can choose adoption please don't wait another day!
BRAWA is open Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 10 - 5 and Sat 10-4.

FINLEY PUPDATE -
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Everyone has been asking about how "Finley" the 3 year old doodle mix is doing, so here's a PUPDATE -

Finley has learned alot of new things while at her foster home. She's very smart and very willing to learn. Her favorite things are playing catch with her foster dad and of course belly rubs. She knows how to sit, she's learning down and she gives you paw to shake. She slowly is learning her manners when it comes to other dogs and realizing that having friends is fun!
She even met her first cat and tried to make friends. She has gained 20 pounds and her coat is growing back in nicely. She also is housetrained. She truly is a sweetheart and just wants to be able to trust someone and get lots of love.
She will be available for adoption Monday after her spay surgery. If you aren't afraid of a little training, are willing to provide good nutrition, inside living accommodations, annual veterinary care and routine grooming for her, along with a whole lot of love, she could be the perfect fit in your home.
