How do you fuel your day?
When you were a kid did you ever get called a picky eater?
I did and sometimes still do. I don’t like everything, my body doesn’t like everything. So I get to choose what foods I eat as my fuel. Foods that make me feel good. Foods that give me energy.
In order to be creative and workout for myself I need to fuel properly.

Performing exercises with correct form not only maximizes results but also reduces the risk of injury.

As I was reflecting last Friday, I thought I would share a little gratitude for Self today.

As we begin this beautiful day remember to reflect on how you are doing inside and how you are doing outside. Take a moment to pause now and then. I like to pause and watch the squirrels play outside my window and then the hummingbird that has been visiting daily lately.

I hope everyone had a chance to reset your system this weekend to rest up for what you have planned for the week. I was taken down on Friday with a migraine I had to surrender to. I had beaten the wake up migraine every day last week until... Friday! BOOOO! 😫
This is me trying one new gadget to help with my migraines, massage and heat over the eyes and temples. It felt so good but just not enough for Friday.
So I slept all day no communication with anyone, I was comforted by my animals and did a lot of breath work, talking to God, evaluating why the hell I get these so bad.
I push and push until...

I am sharing this because I want you to know when your body is tired, it WILL get your attention even when you think you are "fine".

This last week I have been asked this question a lot.
And I always said "I don't know?."
I really don't! But maybe because I haven't given myself a chance to sit and be, I have been so busy doing things and feeling angry that I haven't taken the time to sit with the emotions.
What's even harder is asking someone for help, I have talked about this before, but I am there again, not knowing how to ask for help or even how to know what it is that I need. I am keeping myself busy or asking others going through the same thing what they need from me...

I truly love my friends for keeping an eye on me and today I realize I need to keep an eye on me too. This way I have the energy and clarity to be there for my family who need me too.
So today I ask YOU... Have you taken a moment lately to ask your Self... "What do I need today?"
It's a hard question, so just allow yourself time to sit with it.

Did you know that as we get older, we may experience sarcopenia? It's a fancy term for a reduction in muscle strength and size. But fear not! We can fight back and keep our muscles strong and healthy.
Muscle loss can happen due to many reasons: not getting enough protein in our diets, not moving our bodies enough, or dealing with injuries or illness. But here's the good news: we can take charge of our health!
For us middle-aged and older gals, making sure we're getting enough protein is key to keeping our muscles strong and vibrant. So let's fuel up with protein-rich foods and keep moving to stay strong and fabulous at any age!
