Tonight we bid farewell to some really incredible people who have been part of Team Harmony for several years. Vard, Lina, and Dr. G will be sorely missed, but we take solace in the fact that they are pursuing their dreams and aspirations.

For many, the world has been a scary place over the past two years as countries clashed, the pandemic raged, and tragedies prevailed. But here at HHMD, our family held together with incredible poise and purpose. Every single team member internalized struggles and made sacrifices for the combined wellbeing of our patients and teammates. These heroes deserve a special place in society and although this is a small recognition for their commitment to excellence, let it stand here that all the service to your community is deeply palpable and appreciated.

Dear Harmony, no matter where you are in your health journey, one thing is certain to happen: either you get better, or worse. My advice? Take every opportunity to do little things that will make you better. This weekend was an incredible pitstop for me in my own health journey. As a longtime member of , I had the opportunity to participate in the great trials and tribulations of a group of athletes and their coach culminating--after a series of seven grueling matches--in a Championship trophy.

And I am reminded once again of my favorite quotation that "a journey of one thousand miles begins with one step." Take your one step today, Harmony, and find greatness in your daily achievements. Championships come and go, but champions work on their health every single day.

Much love to these incredible people I got the chance to spend my weekend with. A special thanks to for his game-tying 3, for his 2-point lead layup and game-ending blocked shot, Sev for his incredible heart and passion, for being the team pitbull, for his calm and cool pace throughout, for working through his leg injury to make a huge impact on offense and defense, a special moonwalking guard who shall remain unnamed for giving the team early momentum, and a perennially tough-as-nails coach who only threw his whiteboard an average of 3.7 times every minute--infusing the team with loads of his unrelenting energy.

PS: Coach, you know I kept being the board back to the bench cuz I knew you would need it right? You're welcome!

With all that is happening in our community, it's difficult to have truly joyous moments. However, today we were celebrating with Tania on this momentous occasion of her graduation from nursing school. Congrats on all the hard work and to many more personal and professional successes!

An annual preventive visit is a head to toe PREVENTIVE assessment. During the visit we screen for hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, depression, and depending on your age other specific screenings. To help screen further we order diagnostic tests such as mammography, colonoscopy, and specific labs.
This type of visit lets you and your doctor assess how you are doing health-wise regardless of whether you are feeling symptoms or not. It can also help you assess which areas of your health need attention so they don't cause bigger issues later on for which a follow up appointment can be arranged to monitor these issues.
