She wore teeth designed socks for her surgery day and that was cute! Sutures were removed last week at 13 days post op.

Case update. After 4 months of healing #8 replaced with a BLT Straumann .us. Restorative driven treatment planning. Soft tissue deficiency addressed with a connective tissue graft harvested from the palate. Immediate temporary placed by . #7 and #9 composites will be changed during the final restoration on #8. Patient happy he left the office with a full smile.

#9 internal root resorption. Tooth extracted, site grafted and an Ossix Volumax membrane used as a barrier and a free gingival graft placed to seal the socket. 5 days post op and poor healing was taking place. I let the site heal and few months later a connective tissue graft was added to the site to correct the soft tissue defect. A restorative driven implant placement using Smile in a Box .us was used to plan the case. Immediate temporary placed at the day of the surgery and today after 5 mo final crown delivered. Patient has a high smile line and was very pleased and happy with her new smile. This was a challenging case, but I had the privilege to collaborate with an amazing restorative dentist that made the final result turn out so nice the way it did.

Restorative driven implant placement. Patient presented for extraction #14. Tooth had history of root canal treatment and retreatment. He also had a history of recurrent sinus infection and has had sinus surgery done by an ENT and no resolution. Current estimates are that an odontogenic cause for maxillary sinusitis is present in 25-40% of cases. Odontogenic source should be considered in individuals with symptoms of maxillary sinusitis with a history of odontogenic infection, dentoalveolar surgery, periodontal surgery or in those resistant to conventional sinusitis therapy. (Sinusitis of Odontogenic Origin, I BrooK, Otolaryngol Head and Neck Surgery, 2006)
At the day of the extraction, during removal of the roots a river of purulent drainage came out of the socket. The perforation was treated with a resorbable collagen membrane and the sockets were grafted with allograft material and an ePTFE membrane used as a barrier. A restorative driven virtual treatment plan was done to replace #14 with a screw retained restoration. Patient reports improvement and no longer suffers from sinusitis. Implant 4.8x8mm Straumann was placed after a healing period of 15 months. Can.t wait to see the final restoration!

Update on a previous post. Restorative driven implant placement. Great collaboration with on this single implant on #14. Treatment plan done with John Ingall . #14 had a root fracture after an RCT. Tooth extracted atraumatically by sectioning the roots and complete preservation of the buccal plate. Site grafted with allograft and an ePTFE membrane used as a barrier. After a healing period of 3 months, patient was sent for a CBCT and a virtual/ restorative driven guided surgery planned. Healing was uneventful, and after three months the implant crown made by NDX continental laboratory was placed. I finally got to see this patient this week and I love when I see such a beautiful crown on the implants that I place. Patient is happy with his molar and tells us that it feels like his own tooth. We were also glad to hear that food does not get impacted in the inter proximal spaces thanks to nice contours and contacts. surgery
