Over the last 6 years, our partnership with Subaru Superstore of Surprise has grown from deployment packing events to squadron functions, first sergeant ram building, and strategic planning sessions at their facility.

Today is a proud day for all of us at Fighter Country Foundation as we celebrate our President & CEO, Ron Sites being honored by Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers and Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn. Ron has been named one of the 2023-2024 Association of Defense Communities Champions and was recognized this morning at the Luke West Valley Council Meeting.

🌟 Ron’s unwavering dedication to supporting and advocating for the Airmen, their families, and the mission of Luke Air Force Base has been recognized and celebrated. Through his leadership, the base has not only thrived but also became the chosen site for the Air Force’s F-35 Lightning II training center in 2012, dodging the Base Realignment and Closure Commission.

💰 With over $14 million raised for the base, Ron has spearheaded morale-boosting projects including significant renovations and the establishment of programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our Airmen and their families. From modernizing facilities to developing the Women’s Leadership Development Series and organizing school supplies donations, his efforts have been nothing short of transformative.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Recently, his focus on health, well-being, and resilience initiatives showcases his ongoing commitment to the welfare of Luke Airmen and their families, further cementing his legacy as a true champion for our community.

🏆 Additionally, the remarkable work of Ron and the Fighter Country Partnership was recognized by Brig Gen Jason M. Rueschhoff, 56th Fighter Wing commander, highlighting that Luke AFB and Fighter Country were honored by the Secretary of the Air Force with the 2023 Air Force Community Partnership Program award for quality of life and mission sustainment initiatives.
