Claremont Village Venture is tomorrow!!!!! From 9 am - 5 pm.. It is a wonderful event, with all handcrafted items! Stroll the streets, do some early Christmas shopping, have some food...enjoy a the day!

We will be on 1st Avenue on the Eastbound side of the street between Yale and Harvard (closer to Yale), booth #557, as shown on the map below....hope you can come!

The Village Venture Festival in Claremont will be here before you know it...Saturday, October 26th...We will be set up on 1st Street as we were last year...map to come...Who's going?

Was a very busy 3 days trying to get all the projects done for my Level 1 Certification in Art Clay Silver...Learned so Much! Thank you Cindy Pankopf!!!!!

The piece on the left is an actual leaf that we are painting with Art Clay Silver Paste. We layer it and layer it until we build up a certain thickness. It will then be put in the kiln and the leaf will burn off and we will be left with the image of the leaf in the silver. When completed, this will be a pin.

The other piece on the right is a ring that we rolled out and pieced together, buffing out the seam so that you can't see it anymore. We will be adding texture to it with a syringe of metal clay. More pics to follow as they progress...

My daughter just snagged one of the new Brass & Sterling Initial necklaces...looks very nice on her!

Items have been delivered to my new rep! She seemed very happy with what I put together. Still have a few more trays to do, but have to create some new pieces for them. Her first appointment is tomorrow with my items, crossing fingers that I will get my first wholesale order!

I am delivering some of my sample trays to my rep tomorrow! She emailed me wondering when she was going to get something. Unfortunately, I am a perfectionist and wanted to make sure everything was right. I hope what I am putting together will be what she expected. The pieces that I have questions on will have to wait for another day. She has an appointment with a store that I have been wanting to get into on Thursday and has already told them about me...crossing fingers that they will like my pieces as much as she does...let the journey begin!

I will also be participating again this year in the La Fetra Center 2013 Holiday Boutique in Glendora, CA, which will run Thursday November 21 (for seniors & disabled), Friday, Nov. 22nd & Sat., Nov. 23rd (general public). The event is held in a beautiful craftsman home which is now the home of the La Fetra Senior Center. All items in this event are handmade. I will be manning the Jewelry Room again this year...my jewelry along with several other artists will be showcased. 20% of sales will go to the Senior Center to help with their programs. I will have more info once it gets closer to the event...

We just received our confirmation for this years 32nd Annual Village Venture Arts & Crafts Faire in beautiful Claremont, CA!!!!! This event is on Sat., October 26th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are located on 1st between Yale and Harvard on the north side of the street in booth #557. Had a wonderful weekend at the Summer Solstice Sidewalk Sale in front of Mindfulnest in Santa Monica! The thing I love most about doing these events are the great people I meet, customers and fellow vendors...am thankful for the new friends I've made! Hope to see you guys again soon!

For the past month or so I have been working part time with a wonderful artist...her name is Cindy Pankopf and she is an Art Clay Master Instructor (she is one of only 9 in North America!) She owns Cindy Pankopf's Creative Place which is located in Fullerton, CA. I have been taking classes from her for the past couple of years. She is an exceptional instructor, and always happy to share her insights and tips with her students! I've attached her latest newsletter listing her classes for this quarter.
