Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We take a solemn moment to honor the innocent lives lost, the heroes who ran into the chaos to save others, and those who have made sacrifices in the years following that fateful day.

As members of Teamsters Local 848, we recognize the dedication and courage exhibited by first responders, many of whom were union members, who went above and beyond the call of duty. They showed what it means to be part of a community — to be part of something greater than oneself.

But today isn't just about remembering; it's also about resilience and unity. As we go about our day, driving trucks, buses, and working in various capacities to keep our nation running, let’s do so with a renewed sense of purpose and pride, for we are the heartbeat of America. Let us also recommit ourselves to the values that make us strong: liberty, equality, and justice for all.

Let this anniversary be a call to action to serve our communities, stand by our neighbors, and continually strive for a better tomorrow.
