Dance The Chicago Chapter of Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society was formed in 1980.

The Chicago Hamazkayin chapter sponsors and organizes many cultural events, educational seminars, film festivals and dance performances. The Sardarabad Dance Ensemble of Chicago was established in 1986 under the direction of dance instructor Meline Terzian. From our dancers, parents, our choreographer Hrachya Kostanyan, our chairwoman Armine Papazian, and our board, a heartfelt thank you to Sahak Zakarian for all his hard work, dedication, loyalty and commitment to Hamazkayin Chicago chapter throughout the years. Sahak started as a dancer at Hamazkayin Sardarabad Dance Ensemble of Chicago when he was a kid and later became our instructor. Although you are moving a little further away from us, we are not saying goodbye as you will always be a part of the Chicago Hamazkayin Sardarabad family. Congratulations on your wedding, we wish you all the best.

Here are some pictures from the Hamazkayin Hye Summer Day Camp. Thank you to all who participated! A special thank you to our dedicated Camp Director, Telma Landhorian, who made this experience unforgettable by providing a variety of fun-filled activities for our campers.
Thank you to all of our volunteers, Dr. Arsen Mikaelian, Natalie Brounsouzian, Houri Talarian, and Ani Avedissian Papazian, and thank you to Hranoush Avedissian, Ani Avedissian & Ani Vartanian for providing us with lunch & snacks. This was an unforgettable week!!!
