What I like to do with my friends at GNCS...

It has been a busy 1st full week of school here at GNCS! We had an exciting first day meeting and greeting old friends and new. And the students broke in the brand new Nature-Based Outdoor Classroom! Take a look at all the fun things we have been doing!

Happy graduation to all of our Senior Preschoolers and to 8th grade graduate Evelyn! We are so proud of you and we can't wait to see what you'll become when you grow up!

This week nature supplied a lot of unique learning opportunities with some fun mixed in! Just look at that chicken! 🐓🪶🦗

The Buzz is that Science abounds at GNCS! Cicadas and learning about capillaries!

At GNCS while looking for signs of Spring, we spotted the owl family! Can you find them in the tree?

We are so happy to be in GNCS preschool! We hope you can kick your heels up this weekend! Happy Friday!

Outdoor lunch and tapping sugar maple trees,🌳 all in a week's work. For our science lesson about trees in late winter and early spring - we learned how to tap sugar maple trees RIGHT OUT SIDE OUR CLASSROOM! We have already collected about 2 gallons of sap. This turned into about 1 cup of syrup after boiling out the water for over 4 hours. The children LOVED trying the sap directly from the tree, and are eager to try the syrup tomorrow. 🥞

At GNCS we make friends for infinity and beyond. These girls are taking over the world. Have an out-of-this-world weekend! 🪐🚀

It's Pumpkin Pie Season!!! 🥧 The Kindergarten and 1st grade recently got the chance to bake a delicious pumpkin pie. Measuring, counting and motor skills were abundant. Have a pumpkin-spice kind of weekend!
