As we head into the last week of July and gear up for school, don't forget to schedule your dental checkups!

Our office will be taking a long Holiday and will be closed July 1st - July 5th. We will resume regular business hours on Monday, July 8th.

Congratulations to Cindy on her retirement! After 33 years of making patients smile at Colonial Dental we are sad to see her go, but this is well deserved! Thank you to everyone that came out to celebrate her on Friday!

Today is National No Smoking Day! Individuals who smoke ci******es are at a higher risk of tooth discoloration, bad breath, gum disease and even oral cancer. Take care of your oral health by brushing and flossing regularly when weening off ci******es.

Daylight saving time begins at 2 am tomorrow morning! Don't forget to set your clocks forward an hour before going to bed tonight!

Our office will be closed February 22nd and February 23rd as we will be downtown furthering our education at Midwinter Meeting! This year is extra special as Dr. Lewis is president of the CDS! We will resume regular office hours on Monday, February 26th.

February is also Gum Disease Awareness Month! Being aware of warning signs while practicing good oral hygiene is a great way to prevent gum disease!

Ways to avoid toothaches include:
Be proactive in your dental hygiene by brushing and flossing
Avoid too many sweets
Eat lots of fresh vegetables
Schedule regular dental visits :)

February is Children's Dental Health Month! Below are some healthy smile tips:
Brush your teeth 2x/ day with fluoride toothpaste
Floss daily
Eat healthy foods and limit sugary beverages
See your dentist at least twice a year!

In honor of the NFL season kicking off tonight, friendly reminder to wear your mouth guard! Wearing a mouth guard during any sport can reduce the risk of dental injuries.

September is National Honey Month! We are supporting local business Galster Inc. and giving away honey bears while supplies last!
