This patient presented with concerns about the size of his teeth and the resulting spaces, alongside the need to replace two failing, mobile teeth. His primary objective was to achieve a brighter, more harmonious smile that complemented his facial structure.

Following a comprehensive evaluation and meticulous planning, we determined the optimal course of action: the placement of two dental implants to replace the failing teeth, a combination of in-office and at-home teeth whitening, and the application of porcelain veneers and crowns.

Digital designs completed in Exocad. We were able to preview the final smile via a Trial Smile that aided us in the planning of each step both restoratively and surgically.

The patient was delighted with the outcome, which exceeded his expectations. I am deeply honored to be entrusted with these transformative smile journeys and to contribute to enhancing my patients’ confidence and oral health.

When a young man (15 years old) finished his orthodontic treatment, his referring orthodontist/pediatric dentist needed a solution for his congenitally missing lateral incisors. He wanted a non-removable, non-invasive option. 🦷✨

Anodontia, or congenitally missing teeth, affects less than 1% of males and up to 5% of the general population.
▪️
We opted for a Resin Bonded Bridge (Maryland Bridge), a fantastic method to replace missing teeth with minimal to no preparation of the neighboring teeth.

Just two visits, and this young man now boasts a full set of teeth. Both he and his parents were over the moon with the results! 🎉Feeling incredibly blessed and honored to have the trust of my colleagues in providing collaborative patient care. It’s truly a privilege.

An enriching evening leading our long-standing study club, now over a decade strong. We explored orthognathic cases with a multidisciplinary approach, integrating perspectives from oral surgery and orthodontics, and discussed advancements in Botox applications for myocardial pain and dental implant temporaries. The referring Endodontist had seen this patient on an emergency basis after a traumatic incident. The Endodontist had completed Apexogenesis. He called while mom and patient were in the chair, as the mom wanted to restore the tooth the same or next day. Next day it was.

Apexogenesis involves: Covering the exposed pulpal tissue with an agent, Allowing the pulp to heal, Preserving the pulp’s vitality, and Encouraging the tooth to mature.

She was in her teens and mid-orthodontic treatment. Resin Bonding was decided to be the best treatment modality for her. Without ever meeting her prior or having any data (scans, photos, etc…), we were challenged to restore the tooth form, function and esthetics to blend seamlessly into her smile. Challenge accepted!

Mom and patient were ecstatic with the results.

After a thorough consultation with the patient, it was decided that he would lighten/brighten his teeth via our combination at-home/in-office whitening system and replace the front two old metal/porcelain crowns with full ceramic crown. This patient achieved a smile that’s not only beautiful but also blends seamlessly with his natural teeth. He was so happy that the smile improvement was subtle, yet dramatic enough, that he felt more comfortable with his full smile.

This patient was referred by his surgeon for tooth replacement options for his upper front left side tooth. His current surgeon (was his 2nd surgeon in this case) whom inherited the case, after a previous surgeon had 2 failed implants & hard/soft tissue grafts. The patient decided to find another surgeon after the 2nd failed attempt and was unhappy with the transitional denture to replace the lost tooth. Noting the significant defect and the advanced bone loss on the teeth neighboring the missing tooth, a dental implant was not a viable option.

After a thorough discussion with the patient and his new surgeon, it was decided that a hard/soft tissue graft would be completed followed by a dental bridge. Pink Porcelain was utilized to address the significant soft tissue defect. The patient was also interested in improving the esthetics of his smile, as he didn’t like his two front teeth and the implant crown on the left front side tooth that was a different color. A new dental implant crown and veneer were also included in the overall restorative plan.

This young professional wanted to rejuvenate his smile. He wanted to brighten his smile while also changing the shape of his two front teeth to better reflect him. His previous veneers were more rounded and he wanted a more masculine shape to them. He had the 2 veneers done over 15+ years ago that were starting also show the margins between the veneers and his tooth.

Combination in-office & at-home whitening were done and the 2 Porcelain Veneers were completed with improved shape, color and coverage to blend with his smile.

This patient has severe localize periodontal disease (gum infection) on his upper anterior 4 teeth. Sadly, the severe infection required the teeth to be removed.

The infected teeth were removed; hard tissue grafting to rebuild the bone and implants were precisely placed (by my talented colleagues at .perio). Once the implants were fully integrated, a Zirconia/hand layered bridge that blends with his remaining natural teeth (after some bleaching) was created.

The patient was elated with natural smile improvement!

During our comprehensive exam, I noted a lesion on her front right upper incisor tooth. A follow-up CBCT (3D XRAY) was taken and a resorptive lesion was noted. After a consultation with an excellent endodontist, the tooth’s prognosis was deemed poor.
▪️
The tooth was extracted and the area grafted. Subsequently, an implant was placed and 2 new porcelain crowns were placed to rebuild her smile. During the healing process, she completed minor orthodontic correction (Invisalign) as well his professional dental whitening.
▪️
It’s a joy to be able to complete dentistry that is almost invisible. She notices and feels the improvements but feels that her smile is very much hers and keeps her style. Dentistry isn’t always a quick, straight road but great results are a product of patience, care and always striving for excellence. Feeling grateful to be me these days and care for such wonderful patients!
                         

Good Bye Summer! It has been amazing and one of the most enjoyable summers in a bit. Got a new Boat (54 ft Marquis and went back to the original "Open Wide" name. Thankful for such a great boat partner (Thanks Jeff)! Sad to see Summer go and looking forward to the future!!!

First time back in Vegas in a long while! Feels good to travel but most importantly, I really enjoy hanging with great friends. Played Craps for the first time and actually left Vegas, slightly ahead at the tables. Til next time Sin City!!!
