✨ Home Baking Mantra: "No Two Bakes Are Ever the Same, and That’s the Magic."✨

In the world of home baking, every treat tells its own story. No two cakes, cookies, or pies are ever identical—and that’s what makes them special. Each creation carries a little bit of love, a dash of creativity, and a whole lot of heart. 💖

It’s not about perfection; it’s about the joy of creating something delicious and personal, just for you.

🧁 Baking Tip of the Week! 🧁

Tip: Rotating Pans while baking

For perfectly baked goods, rotate your baking pans halfway through the cooking time. Ovens often have hot spots, so turning the pans ensures even baking and browning across your cookies, cakes, or breads.
I always set my alarm for half way through the time the recipe says and rotate racks and or switch sides of the oven. Mine definitely has hot spot areas and I’m still learning to work through them!

Happy baking! 🍰

🍒 Black Forest Cake!

Might be the best one I have ever made. One layer chocolate mousse and the other cherries. Topped with a whipped cream, cream cheese frosting with crushed chocolate and more cherries to top it off.

Butter vs. Oil Debate

🧈 Butter: The Flavor Powerhouse

• Pros: Butter is packed with flavor, giving your baked goods that rich, creamy taste we all love. It also helps with browning, leading to a beautiful golden crust.
• Cons: Butter has a lower melting point, which can sometimes lead to denser, more compact bakes. It’s also less moist than oil, so your treats might dry out faster.

🛢️ Oil: The Moisture Master

• Pros: Oil brings moisture to the table, making cakes, muffins, and breads incredibly tender and soft. It’s especially great for keeping your baked goods fresh for longer.
• Cons: Oil lacks the flavor that butter provides. If you’re looking for that rich taste, you might need to add extra flavoring or mix in some butter.

The Verdict?

For me these days I am loving the butter. My cake batter is more consistent and tastes much better. Yess the cakes will come out a little denser with a little more crumb but to me that’s the cake I love. Not made with vegetable oil that is 💯 awful for your body. Unless it’s my brownie recipe then I will most definitely use it! 😝
