We are open tomorrow and Thursday from 11-6, Friday 12-7, Saturday special extended hours until late for Freedom Fest! We will be staying open past 8 PM on Saturday until foot traffic thins out! We are closed every Sunday and Monday.

What’s going on this week? Freedom Fest is THIS Saturday September 7th. Taste of Wayne is later this week in the Hub.

In other news: lots of restock product is coming!! An enormous restock order is coming from Milkhouse Candles. We have candles and melts coming and we also have TONS of stocking stuffer size mini sampler tins coming from Milkhouse in all of your favorite scents. We will post when these are on the shelves.

Cheese straws are about to be restocked and a cast iron conditioner restock is set to arrive in store later in the week.

Greetings from the Cashiers/Highlands area of beautiful Western North Carolina! We have had the most wonderful trip this past weekend. We visited the downtown areas of Highlands, Cashiers, Franklin, and Brevard. We had a great time exploring and are heading back east with locally blended teas, antiques, and handmade pottery for our home from the local Brevard arts council.

Back to Goldsboro later today. We are open tomorrow from 11-6.

Yesterday was also our one year Center Street anniversary! We get a lot of questions asking how long have we been in our current location. We have been there a year, but we are not a new business. We have been in business about 3 years.

Many congratulations to our friends The Twisted Willow 119 South Third Street Smithfield NC for taking home EIGHT awards in the best of Johnston County! These folks are so deserving and have worked extremely hard to help lift downtown Smithfield and they are some of the most uplifting people we know. Eight awards speaks LOUD and with volume especially after what they have gone through. Terri and John: you will continue to go far!

They help promote not just other JoCo businesses, but they have also gone out of their way to promote our store and several
other Wayne county businesses.

Terri and John are looking to sell their building and relocate their business to another town. They will not be staying in downtown Smithfield. They are NOT closing and are still open for business while they try to find a buyer for their building. If anyone is looking for a fully renovated beautiful historic downtown building in Smithfield, please contact them.

My car was reading a “lovely” crisp 93 degrees today on the way to the store 😮‍💨 we have air conditioning inside for your shopping comfort…and please be sure to also stop by the other merchants nearby for a cold beverage, more shopping, and delicious food!

Do you know what one of my very favorite things is about the shop here in downtown?? It’s actually not inside…it’s my second time standing at our windows and watching summer slowly fade…and autumn beginning to make its presence known. I love how the golden hued tiny leaves are dropping before my eyes onto the beautiful brick walkway.

I am definitely not a hot weather person. One day, I’m going to live deep in the mountain at a higher elevation…so the pretty leaves sprinkled everywhere, the over abundance of cozy fall/winter candles on our shelves, and the pops of earthy colors throughout the store is honestly pure happiness to me.

Fusion Mineral Paint has been unpacked and the shelves are all stocked up! We also introduced a LIMITED EDITION color! 🥳 Upper Canada Green is in store and the most cheerful shade of green. We only have 4 jars! Restock of that color is not guaranteed.

We have 4 jars each of all of the other restocked colors pictured. Please note: we keep extras behind the bottom cabinet doors. If you need assistance at any time, please let us know as we are happy to help.

I pass this on as a public service to guys everywhere. I have already been told.
A friendly reminder to all the husbands / significant others out there as we enter the fall and winter seasons.
These are called decorative towels. The key word here is ✨decorative. Just completely disregard the word towel.
Their sole purpose is to be purposeless and pretty. That’s it. If you use these to dry your disgusting hands off after being out in the garage, dry dishes, or wipe the counters off with them, your wife will likely get a little twitchy and a bit dysfunctional over it.
These are dec-or-a-tions.
