Custom squirrel cage installation 🥬🐿️

Raised garden beds are very suitable for gardening and provide a beautiful aesthetic to any garden. However, care always something to consider when installing a vegetable garden— especially squirrels. Squirrels tend to prefer the extra height of a garden bed because it provides a place full of seeds and protection from other predators. The best way to combat squirrels against your raised vegetable garden beds is by installing netting or squirrel cages. Squirrel cages are a beautiful alternative to netting, giving you all the protection needed and not taking away from the lovey garden beds.

The best time to trim lemon trees are in Spring. It’s impossible to continue pruning throughout the season as needed, making sure to remove any dead or broken branches as soon as you spot them. This will preserve the overall health of your tree. 🍋🌳

Today we broke ground on our Mountain View School garden project! Demo day is always exciting and we can wait to have a fresh slate to begin installation next week.

Retaining walls serve a purpose, however they don’t have to be boring! Here we’ve created retention while carving out beautiful pathways and a staircase leading to two separate spaces to enjoy in the backyard.

Meet our Operations Manager, Ethan Koster! ✨

Ethan was born and raise in Santa Barbara, CA. Having started operating equipment in his dad, Ken’s, lap at 8 years old, Ethan now manages and maintains our entire fleet. By using his creative eye and onsite experience, Ethan is also an essential part of managing the Landscape and Tree Devisions. Ethan is also the mastermind behind every woodworking project, managing the entire Carpentry Devision. Ethan is an essential part of ensuring all operations are running smoothly and efficiently. We are so grateful to have him on Team QTC!
