Trooper is such a fantastic dog, so why is has he been with us since Feb.??? We're absolutely mystified because he's just a joy to be around & work with. Trooper is a 7-8 month old male Border Collie mix who doesn't have that insane energy level that herding dogs are most often known for, instead, he's has what we'd consider "normal" puppy energy. Since he's been with us so long he's had the opportunity to attend several events out in the community & he's done a great job in public. PSA: Please check to make sure any food items or medications you're giving your dogs DO NOT CONTAIN XYLITOL. This ingredient is an artificial sweetener & is deadly to dogs. It is in different forms of Benadryl, peanut butter & other items that are "sugar free". We've heard of dogs getting hold of sugar free gum from owners purse & being poisoned. So, please be careful!

This cute pup is Max. Max is a male 2 year old mixed breed. He's about 50 lbs. & considered full grown. This guy loves toys, has plenty of playful energy & walks on leash. Update on Charlotte! Charlotte came to Animal Control very thin, ribs showing & they started her on the path to health. Charlotte came to us 2 weeks ago & was 26 lbs. This girl is a boxer mix & our vet feels she's about 1 year old so that is very under weight. We're happy to say that she's continuing to gain weight--amazing what feeding a dog will do! Adorable Boxer mix Charlotte is a 8 month old female. Charlotte only weighs about 26 lbs. so is very under weight due to poor nutrition but is eating well & gaining weight. Charlotte walks on leash.
