It was standing room only today at NASAO - National Association of State Aviation Officials Annual Conference for "Leveraging Existing GA Infrastructure for Vertiport and AAM Development," a panel moderated by Frank Matus with Alex Gertsen, Christopher Starr, Linn Smith, Josh Duplantis, and Ray Seif.

The roundtable style was well-received by a captive audience, who asked questions about advocacy and the small actions that GA airports can take today to be prepared for AAM tomorrow.

Deeply Disturbed by the Tragic Incident at Appalachee High School

I am writing to express my deep concern and sadness about the recent tragic incident that occurred at Appalachee High School. The shooting and loss of life that took place so close to my children at work today has deeply shaken me and left me feeling a mix of emotions.

As a parent, the safety and well-being of my children are always my top priority. Hearing about such a senseless act of violence happening in a place where they should feel safe and protected is truly heartbreaking. It is a stark reminder of the harsh realities we face in today's world, where no one is immune to the threats of gun violence.

I can't help but think about the students, teachers, and families directly affected by this tragedy. My heart goes out to them as they navigate through the pain, sorrow, and trauma that comes with such a devastating event. I can only imagine the fear and anxiety they must be experiencing, and it breaks my heart to know that they are going through such a difficult time.

In times like these, it is important for us to come together as a community and show our support for those in need. I believe that by standing united and offering our love, compassion, and assistance, we can help each other heal and find strength in the face of adversity.

I hope that initiatives will be put in place to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future and to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff at our schools. It is imperative that we take proactive steps to address the root causes of violence and work towards creating a more peaceful and harmonious society for everyone.

After a wonderful home-cooked lunch at the Forest River Colony, we had the opportunity to participate in various activities and workshops throughout the day. It was truly a fantastic experience to see firsthand the hard work and dedication that goes into potato farming.

As the day draws to a close, we are looking forward to a fun-filled cookout hosted by the Northland Potato Growers Association. It will be a great opportunity to relax, unwind, and network with other industry professionals.
