You may also know she’s a “fancy pants” goldsmith who sells her work worldwide. (And also in my shop. Just sayin’.) But did you know Lisa crafts high-quality permanent jewelry for casual, everyday wear? The woman has a few talents. She’s fun, too! So… what are you doing Friday, July 19th between 4 & 8 pm? Grab a few friends and come on down. Lisa will have her super high-tech zappy machine set up. Yes, that’s a technical term. She’ll have loads of sterling and gold chain to choose from, and you can walk out into the Friday night social scene be-decked in summertime glam. What’s not to love?

It's starting to feel like summer!

Meet "Fred". Birthed from the creative imaginings of local artist MaryLou Bos and named by a young customer, he's decided to move into downtown Grand Haven for a while. Fred's adoption fee is $25 and he promises not to scratch the furniture or eat your plants. 🤣I hear some of his friends will arrive soon.

Jeeps and Ducks all day long! Fun times at Grand Haven Jeep Fest downtown.

Grand Haven Jeep Fest has begun, with all its laughter and fun. One of my favorite finds commemorating the event is this set of magnets featuring Jeeps doing Jeep things. "What you dune with YOUR life?" Whatever your shopping plans, don't forget to stop for your selfie!

I recently told Max Lautzenheiser my vision for a selfie booth for Grand Haven Jeep Fest. Using a few sketches, some basic tools and a monster hot glue gun he created this beauty. I'm in awe. Special thanks to Bekins, who graciously donated the refrigerator boxes, and to Madigan Lautzenheiser who helped paint them! Since nudity is frowned upon in downtown Grand Haven, our friends at Big Fish provided a special edition Grand Haven Jeep Fest t-shirt for our skeleton friend. Cathy Race of That Hat provided the cap, which says "but did you die?" Perfect, right? Thanks also to Michelle Horton Dixon of Gem Source Fine Jewelry, who convinced Max to sit for a photo. Michelle may be familiar to some of you, since she helps me out here occasionally. Feel free to stop in and join the photo fun!

I'm mesmerized by these gorgeous coffee scoops made by local artist Ben Wurm. Ben combined gorgeous wood like curly maple, ebony, black walnut, and purple heart and the results are yummy!

I'm so excited about the non-profit organizations that will benefit from The Big Shop this Saturday! Did you know that Buses by the Beach.org "combines the love of Volkswagen style camping with raising money for the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors"? The husband and son of an artist I "know" on Facebook are burn survivors. The effects on both victims and their families are brutal and long-term. I'm glad they have advocates! Thanks Guitar Haven GH for your passion and commitment to this organization.
