Aaron, Patrick and Ben came to open play Saturday morning for their first time player lesson. Aaron and Patrick came with their friends and Ben’s Mom brought him. The lesson was provided by their friends / family and everyone was playing competitive games all morning.

Dan and Brian came to open play Friday night for a lesson with coach Terri Bellanca. A great time was had by all.

Mike Cappizzi was the 36th first time player that took a free beginners lesson at Pickleball Island in December. Mike played really well after a brief lesson with court manager Ron Rose during Saturday morning open play.

Friends bring friends to play pickleball: Ben brought his friend Emma to learn how to play. Ben was the instructor today with a little help from court manager Terri. After a brief time on the training court going over the rules, Emma was out playing with the rest of the Saturday morning players.

Pickleball Island welcomed The Risk Management department from M&T Bank on Friday afternoon for a corporate team building event. Employees from several different offices became friends over games of pickleball. A NEWBEE lesson for 10 first timers then some very competitive games with all. Amazing to see these serious analysts relax and have a great time.

For some reason, I just don’t think Tyler Herro is the best pickleball player in the world. 😒

Pickleball Island welcomed 8 first time players during Sunday afternoons open play: Niharika, Eric, Emer, Dylan and Maria. Steve and Barb (Dave- camera shy). Coach Art began the lesson and Coach Teri finished up and all 8 played some competitive games together then joined the open play. Shout out to PI court managers who help each other with large groups of first time players. Great team! Welcome to the Island of Pickleball!
