Coordinators and staff from the Southeast and Central regions, Maurita, Lindsey, and Shyenne, proudly represented NLRN at the 2024 Nebraska Young Child Institute on June 25th! They shared valuable respite resources and information with over 700 attendees, making a significant impact! Charlie Lewis, Project Director of Answers4Families.org, stopped by their table to say hello. Answers4Families is a proud partner of NLRN.

Functional Family Facilitator, part-time or full-time positions available. This position is open state-wide.
Transitional Living Community Facilitator, afternoons and evenings. This position is located at our Transitional Youth Community Shelter in Maxwell. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Debra Bowers Award presented to Jamie Schweda in December 2021 Nebraska VR (Scottsbluff office) has chosen one client each year to receive the Debra Bowers Award since 2012. The Debra Bowers Award is named after a client who achieved employment success while overcoming adversity. Debra's determination, motivation, and dedication to achieve her goals is her legacy and this lives on each time the award is presented. VR staff saw the same determination, motivation, and dedication in Jamie Schweda. Jamie's perspective on life is truly amazing. Jamie's ability to see the brighter side of life has driven Jamie to achieve her goals.
Jamie has worked for Independence Rising for three years. Jamie is a receptionist, Independent Living Specialist, and Peer Support Specialist in the Independence Rising Scottsbluff office.
