If you get served margarine at a restaurant in Wisconsin without asking for it, watch out – that’s illegal 🤯

Yes, as you might have guessed, we are back for part two of our strange laws series, and you’d butter believe that this is a real law!

As it turns out, Wisconsin has some pretty strict rules around margarine. Along with not allowing margarine to be served at restaurants, no one is supposed to sell it unless it is properly packaged, the net weight is one pound, and the margarine label is no smaller than 20 point font.

If the specificities weren’t already interesting enough, you can also face a fine and even jail time for breaking this law! Our advice; maybe stick to selling just butter to play it safe in Wisconsin 🧈😰
