The excitement is building!!! Baby Knott is on her way. She is due late February. Most of you know I have been planning my maternity leave. Thank you for always encouraging my dreams. My sister .filkins you inspire me always, I always find my strength, reassurance, needed advice, and energy matched with you. Lastly my nieces. Since I shared one photo by .obscura, you know I’vr got to share 2 more. This is my 12 year old pup Mallory. She is an old Russian lady trapped in a blue heeler body. I wasn’t a dog person before meeting her. Now I can’t imagine life with out her. Whenever we start talking about pets while you are on my table now you can images her clearly in all her beauty.

This will give us time to discuss concerns, goals, questions, and create a solid plan. You can even go home with some products to prep for your first or next facial!

At 1:30 we will meet in the garden behind Wanderlux. I will introduce myself and explain a little about my path to becoming an esthetician and why I've brought this group together. I want to ask a bunch of questions! To gain understanding of what goals, concerns, and type of relationships you have with skincare.
We will chat for about an hour, and have snacks and sip tea throughout. If they would like to join in, Parents are welcome to be a part of the conversation as well.
Tess, our social media manager will also be present taking some fun pictures of the occasion.

Most of my life I experienced super oily skin that led to A LOT, of acne. It really did a number on my self esteem. Especially in my middle and high school years. I tried ALL the over the counter options, proactive that worked till it didn’t, I did the tooth paste trick, and stoped eating sweets. The amount of brain space the condition of my skin took up in my head was substantial. My experience has been one of the main reasons I wanted to pursues esthetics. Whenever I tint, or use henna on a new client I always warn the result will be darkest the first day or two. This is because the product can be absorbed by the skin as well as the hair. For my visual learners, I made this for you☺️. This image is from henna painted directly on my hairless forearm. By day 2 you can see it’s beginning to fade from my skin. The color will remain in the brow hair for 5-8 weeks but the color lifts from the skin after a few days. Want to see the tints next?
