HRA Therapist, Renee Orr, was recently featured in the Detroit Free Press article outlining the prominence of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in children, as well as the challenges that go along with obtaining diagnosis and receiving support.

This hidden disorder could affect 1 in 20 US kids: Why diagnosis and support remain low Up to 1 in 20 U.S. children live with brain damage caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. Their teachers, doctors and even parents don't always know.

We had a great time at the Kids and Family Expo! It was a great event, and we got to meet so many families.

All behavior is communication. It tells us about a child's internal states like how their nervous system is responding to the situation. While not always easy to navigate, this is crucial to understanding a child.

The Facts:

- Our new address will be: 2851 Charlevoix Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546

- We will have the same phone number: 616-458-0692 and you can also always use [email protected] for any other questions or concerns.

- Our Child and Adolescent Services are expanding under the continued development of the Pediatric Mindworks Center at HRA and all of our amazing child and adolescent therapists. Our new space will include a child and adolescent wing with separate check-in procedures, separate family waiting room, and a sensory room.

- When: We are planning on moving in October of 2023. The goal is to be open for business October 3 if all goes as planned. Please check back in with us as we finalize moving plans.

- The entirety of our practice still offers psychological services across the board. From clinical, to corporate, to forensics/legal, our team of clinicians cover nearly all psychological intervention and evaluation needs.
