Hi 🤗 I thought a fresh haircut gives me extra reason to introduce myself in my craft corner ✨My name is Ashley and I am the lady behind .rae.clay

A few years ago, I bought myself a pair of polymer clay earrings ( thanks ) and I was obsessed!!!! I have always loved being creative and during the craziness of Covid, I was really struggling to find things that made me truly happy while the world was shut down. I bought a sample pack of clay and the rest was history.

The more I learned, the more I loved the medium and slowly started to build up my newbie inventory. I thought long and hard about what to call my business and during the same time, I got to bring my Riley girl home and she is pure joy, so it only made sense to name it Riley Rae Clay!

I love having my little mascot by my side always ready to relax and let me take pictures over her fluff and she always keeps me company while I spend hours on the ground sorting through unfinished pieces and old inventory.

This business I’ve created is one of the things I’m most proud of that I’ve accomplished in my 20’s and another is finally becoming a dog mom to the sweetest golden retriever girl I’ve ever met. I’m thankful for having these big dreams and for all of the support you’ve all shown me from the awkward beginning stages to where I’m at now which is having over 500+ earrings sold and loved by you🥹, being a vendor in at least 50+ art markets, and working with most wonderful shops , ,

I love this area of my life. I get lost in it, ask my boyfriend… I come down to work and don’t surface for at least a few hours 🤣♥️ it’s all fun and made with endless amounts of love

I went through my inventory last night for Riley Rae Clay and I just have to toot my own horn and say that I am pretty proud of myself with the small business I’ve created. The evolution of my old pieces from last year to the new things I’ve created this past week is amazing and really exciting!!!! Forever grateful for all of my friends and family sharing your love and support for this venture.

I realized with my markets planned this year, I better get my butt making more new things for you because there’s not much left! ☺️😉

Dreamt up this years ornament by happy mistake. I actually bought a cookie cutter stamp that has a Christmas tree imprint in it, my clay wasn’t thick enough to capture the tree, but made the perfect circle and I got to thinking…. This would be the perfect snow globe shape.

Market story time 😊

Ever since I started doing markets, I’ve brought this little metal sign I keep in the back to glance at during the days.

“Git R Done” is something that my grandpa would say and everytime I look at it, I’m reminded of his love and encouragement that he never failed to show me. He passed away a few years ago and didn’t get to meet Riley or see me start Riley Rae Clay, but I know for certain that he’s very very proud of me and all that I’ve built.

Fitting to post this on Veterans Day as well to remember his service ♥️🥰💙
