We wrapped up the summer ☀️ season with style! Our Pickleball tournament was a hit, and we also enjoyed a Rock Paper Scissors contest, our monthly Bingo, and our own V’s Photo Day competition. In addition, we hosted a bagel breakfast and had carrot cake 🍰 to celebrate August birthdays!

Happy Labor Day! Time to kick back, fire up the grill, and enjoy a day off – have a great holiday everyone!

Outside of work, Sarah likes to spend time with her husband and dog🐕‍🦺. They enjoy daily walks, trips to the park down the road, and some good old-fashioned porch sitting. Sarah and her husband, Joe, also enjoy visiting small bars/venues to listen to live music 🎶, catching the occasional comedy show 🎙, or camping/traveling where they get to hike and enjoy pretty scenery.

One of Sarah’s hobbies is taking care of and decorating with her indoor plants. As of now, she has roughly 60 potted plants! One of her favorites being her rattlesnake plant 🌱 Not a lot of people know that Sarah likes to paint. She hasn’t done it in a while, but one of her favorite projects was when she painted a dragon as a gift to her Husband 🐉 – he is a fan of Dragons Milk beer and Drogan from GOT, so naturally she had to combine those two dragons into a 24x36 painting for his birthday 🎨

Somewhere Sarah really wants to travel to is New Zealand. Her husband is a huge Lord of the Rings fan and the scenery there is unmatched. They also really want to travel to some of the amazing national parks we have here in the U.S. including Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Zion National Park to name a few! 🌄

July is a special month for us since it is the month we celebrate our Vistapendence! Our annual Dips Competition was a tasty hit, and we also enjoyed a Patriotic Competition, Bop It tournament, and Bingo. We hosted a Hot Dog lunch 🌭, had an Ice Cream Sundae Bar 🍨, indulged in Apple Turnovers🍎, and we wrapped up the month with a refreshing Kona Ice treat!

Meet Grant
Outside of work, Grant focuses on his family and friends. He enjoys traveling ✈, spending time with his wife & his cat Gimpy 🐈, watching movies🍿, and playing pickleball over the summer. He also spends some of his free time painting miniatures for all sorts of tabletop Rulesets. Additionally, he is a student of history and loves reading non-fiction 📚 and listening to podcasts like "Hardcore History" on his longer commutes!

Meet Devon Lewis, VPE’s awesome Accounting Manager!

Outside of work, Devon loves to spend her time visiting cute local coffee shops and bookstores, then curling up on the couch with her animals and reading all day 📚. Rainy weather 🌧 and a fireplace would make it even better! Devon enjoys reading fiction books and hanging out with her six pets and her husband.

If you ask other people, they’ll say Devon is insanely good at puzzles 🧩. She started doing them when she was younger and has continued as an adult. Apparently, she’s so good it can be annoying to do them with her because she can pick up a piece and find its spot automatically.

Devon grew up in Traverse City and moved to the Grand Rapids area around six years ago. There are too many restaurants in TC to just pick one, but she misses Gobblers from Mary’s Kitchen Port the most. She also absolutely loves to go to Poppycocks for dessert and cocktails 🍰.

An extra fun fact fun fact is that Devon and her husband are expecting their first child in early August. They are having a boy and naming him Oakley 👶

Meet Jake

Jake grew up in Grosse Point, MI, but knew he wanted to move closer to Lake Michigan after spending summer vacations as a kid going to Charlevoix, Elk Rapids, and Traverse City. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in Marketing with a concentration in Professional Sales. Outside of work, he likes going on bike rides and spending the day at the beach. He also enjoys skiing, going on hikes, and boating with his family!

Meet Mariah Thompson, one of VPE’s awesome Customer Experience Specialists!

Outside of work, Mariah loves to spend time playing cozy games, thrifting, going out to eat 🍕, and spending time with her son. They both enjoy spending time outdoors, going on kid-friendly hikes in the Grand Rapids area, and scootering 🛴 around the neighborhood. She also loves travelling with her son. Their favorite travel ✈ destination is Arizona, where they visit family frequently – they've been there a dozen times and always look forward to going back!

Mariah has a passion for reading 📚 and tending to her plant 🌱 collection. She enjoys having plants around the house, carefully placed up high to keep them out of reach of the cat. As a big fantasy book reader, she has been binging book series since she learned to read. Her mom would often have to pry books out of her hands just to get her to eat dinner during her elementary school years.

Having been at Vista and in the technology industry for two years now, Mariah previously worked in retail for a decade before deciding it was time for a career change. She has been a part of the Customer Experience team at Vista for two years and enjoys being part of their close-knit team. Additionally, she is involved in one of the culture teams at Vista, where she loves organizing events for the rest of the company to enjoy, especially when they involve sweet treats 🍬🍩

Our May festivities included Star Wars trivia, an Uno tournament, and our VERY popular monthly Bingo competition! In addition, we indulged in mini desserts celebrating all the May birthdays 🍮, pulled pork sliders, Frosties 🍨, and delicious Mexican food to celebrate Cinco de Mayo 🌮!

Meet Paul Morgrette, VPE’s awesome Shipping & Facility Manager!

When he’s not a work, you will find Paul taking his Harley on long rides with his wife 🏍, river fishing with friends and family 🎣, and building saltwater fish tanks with his daughter. His ideal weekend would be going to his cottage up north, where he and his family sit by the fire, play bags, swim 🏊‍♂️, fish, and do a lot of boating!

Outside of his almost 20 years’ experience at VPE, Paul has a lot of experience in building saltwater tanks and is equally knowledgeable about the fish and coral that inhabit the oceans. He really wants to travel to Australia as it has one of the best coral reefs in the world. He would love to scuba dive and/or snorkel around the water to see all the vibrant colors of the fish and corals!

Adding to his list of hobbies, he also loves to collect gold jewelry and watches ⌚, as well as Sergei Fedorov trading cards. In fact, he was once told he was the biggest collector of Fedorov's cards in Michigan! As if Paul isn’t busy enough, many people do not know that Paul works part-time as a police officer 👮‍♂️! He loves getting out, talking to people, helping them with issues, and simply having good conversations.

Meet Nick

Outside of work, Nick's life revolves around family and diverse outdoor activities. He enjoys quality time with his wife Nataly of 16 years and their two boys, Wesley and Lukas. Whether it's escaping to their cabin up north, engaging in disc golf, working on cars 🚗, or playing Mario Kart with his kids 🎮, Nick finds joy in these shared moments. Live music and concerts also hold a special place in his heart, contributing to his ideal weekends either on the lake or immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of a music event.

We kicked off Spring in style! We hosted Mario Party 🎮, Master Putting ⛳, Football Toss 🏈, and Bocce Ball tournaments - we also hosted our first Art Prize competition! 🎨 In addition to our competitions, we indulged in Salted Cupcakes, Pretzels, Popcorn, and Pastrami Sliders 😋 We did our best to set the tone for an unforgettable season ahead!

Meet Tarcisio Caldas, VPE’s awesome Office Assistant!

Outside of work, Tarcisio enjoys spending time with his family. On weekends, he loves watching movies, binge-watching TV shows 🍿🎬, and going out with his wife. He also enjoys spending time with his parents, brother, and sister-in-law, whether it's going to church ⛪ or enjoying delicious homemade Brazilian food 🍝.

Tarcisio also enjoys sports (soccer) and video games. If he's not with his family or doing schoolwork, you can find him losing his mind watching his favorite team or playing video games with his brother and friends. Lately, he's been playing Ark and Age of Empires 4 and having a blast (while, he says, losing brain cells) 🤣

He also enjoys music 🎼. His parents are pastors, so he's been involved in worship since childhood. His dad also owns a music school, giving him an even bigger excuse to be involved. He's been singing 🎙 since he was a child and started leading worship at 17. Singing and worshiping are some of his biggest passions, especially because he gets to do it with his brother, who is a worship director!

Meet Mike:

Mike grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he attended Forest Hills Central High School, followed by Grand Rapids Community College and ITT Technical Institute. Outside of work, he enjoys watching sports, and even though he has lived in Michigan his entire life, his family originally hails from Cincinnati, OH, so growing up he embraced those Ohio roots (go Buckeyes, Bengals, and Reds!) He also enjoys playing golf and video games. Additionally, he loves hanging out with his daughter Hannah, and going to her orchestra concerts. Hannah will be graduating from high school next month – he’s very proud of her!

As always, our culture team did an awesome job coordinating our March culture events! We hosted our Bingo, Mario Kart, and Ring Toss contests🏆, and enjoyed a few slices of pie in celebration of PI Day and March birthdays🥧. A few V-team members also ventured out and completed an Escape Room together! Can’t forget our annual Easter Egg Hunt, which added an extra layer of fun for the month! 🐇🎁

Please help us celebrate our March Anniversaries! This month, our team has quite the tenure range! We’ve got some celebrating their first year with us, all the way up to our own president, Jeff Stevens, now on his 28th year!

Meet Theresa Lewis, our incredible Customer Experience Specialist here at VPE!
Outside of work, you will catch Theresa spending time with her husband and her 3 children. During the weekends, she loves to read 📚 and go for a fun adventure with her family. She loves hiking, going to museums and the movie theater 🍿 - that is if she is not running around going to soccer games and swim lessons with her kids! ⚽🏊‍♂️

Theresa is a part of our Book Club 📚. They get together once a month to chat about the latest book they are diving into together. Right now, she is currently hooked on Frozen River, along with her Book Club peers, and she loves it so far! She's already breezed through 7 books and aims to hit over 20 by December!

Theresa loves to travel ✈ as she has been to many countries worldwide! From Jamaica to St. Croix, Antigua to Mexico, and Ireland to England. She already has a trip booked to the Dominican Republic this summer! Italy is next on her radar as she is all about and visiting places with ancient ruins and archaeological sites! 🗿
