In the words of Veronica Quintino-Aranda on the success of her program, JUNTOS, "We completed our JUNTOS pilot program. There was a 53% increase in the confidence the parents felt that they knew the necessary steps to help their students reach their goals after high school. At the beginning of the program the parents wanted to support their student but did not have the knowledge to assist them in reaching their high school goals. 18% of the parents understood the application process especially when and how to apply for college/programs and 82% did not understand the application process. After successfully completing the program 100% of the parents stated they understood the application process, especially when and how to apply for college/programs. 50% of the parents had a college degree from their home country. For students 50% of the students did not feel they knew the necessary steps to reach their goals after high school. After successfully completing the program 43% of the students stated the strongly agree they and 57% stated they agree they know the necessary steps to reach their goals after high school.
