Save the date for our 2024 Leader Meet! Adult and teen 4-H leaders are welcome to join us on September 8, 2024 from 2-6 PM at the STEM Building on Michigan State University's campus!
This event will feature whole group sessions on energizing your 4-H club and youth/adult partnerships. Breakout sessions will be available on the following topics: photography, biosecurity, horses, dogs, make & take crafts, engineering a junk drawer car, preparing for the animal science Skill-a-thon, working with Cloverbuds, and more!

Pastries and Paint is a fun summer event focused on children aged 5-12, providing a platform for the community to come together and celebrate creativity. By painting a vibrant summer landscape of Lake Michigan, children get to express themselves artistically and enjoy some yummy pastries provided by Bostwick Bakeries. By partnering with these establishments, Pastries and Paint aims to promote and support the unique offerings of these businesses, fostering a strong sense of community pride and mutual support.

States' 4-H International Exchange Programs As one of the pioneers of international youth exchange, we have more than 40 years experience helping youth and families discover a global perspective while living an unforgettable experience.
Friends! 4-H is still in NEED of families willing to host a young person from Japan this summer! We have 7 more youth to place. HELP their dreams come true!
A host family needs to complete the States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs online application, have a youth to match as a host brother/sister (be within 3-4 years of age), adults in the home be Michigan 4-H adult Gold Volunteers, participate in an interview and home visit process. Applications to host can be found at www.states4hexchange.org
The youth will become a part of your family and will just go with your family doing normal things, everything is new and exciting to them …no elaborate planning! They will be arriving July 21st!
Below are the 3 Girls and 4 Boys' ages:
Girls – 13, 16 and 17 years old
Boys – 14, 15, 15, and 17 years old

Michigan State University Extension is excited to partner with the Michigan State Fair again this year on this exciting program for all Michigan youth ages 5-19. The virtual platform provides a great opportunity for youth to exhibit their work in all project areas and apply for $10,000 in scholarships. Join us at the Eastown Kids' Bazaar tomorrow! From 9am-11:30am, community youth will be selling their arts and crafts to the public during the annual Eastown Bizarre Bazaar. 4-H will be leading a financial literacy workshop from 11:30am-12:15pm. Come support the youth of our community and help them learn about money management skills!
