THAI TABLE
"THAI TABLE"
We Serve Happiness and Good Memories
Through Authentic Thai Food
on Your Dinning Table. Thai Food
It's not just food , it's memories.
This week begins November.
We feel like there are a lot of important things going on, whether it's Halloween night, winter is coming and daylight saving time is about to happen.
But there's one thing that's happening that we want you to know about:
"Grand Rapids Restaurant Week, taking place from 1-9, organized by Experience Grand Rapids."
We had a great opportunity as a new restaurant to be invited to participate in the project but with great opportunities comes great responsibility.
As I said, we are still new, there are many matters that need to be managed at the same time, makes it enough to analyze as a whole.
We are unlikely to be able to come up with a good new menu set in time, in the end we had to refuse, not participating in this project.
But that doesn't make us think, It should not help promote this project, because of course in the overall picture we are in this business having an organization that helps us promote our restaurants It's definitely more good than bad, and more importantly, we like the name "Experience" Grand Rapids.
Because we ourselves focus on "Good memories" of customers, which for us every time a customer comes to use the service If we do well make customers have a good experience, those things will become good memories for customers, from Food to Experience to Good Experience and lead to Memories that are Good Memories.
and the path to giving you good experiences and memories. It is the path that we chose to walk from the beginning.
Finally, I'd like to say that don't forget to join in on the fun with Grand Rapids Restaurant Week and create great experiences and memories together. 🥰
🥰🥰🥰
No.8 is Thailandddd 🥰
Countries With the Richest Heritage For these nations, the past shapes the present and future.
A gift from a customer who has become a new friend.
He has lived in Thailand for more than ten years and Thai people have been very kind to him, so he wanted to give back to the Thai people and also welcome us to his home country "America".
Well, at least we feel warm before winter. 🥰
Kob Khun Krab Super Ajarn 😆
As many of you know our food culture is all about sharing everything on the table.
They don't eat anyone else's food but eat together.
And if you want to try...
This is a wonderful pairing that allows those of you who come as a couple or as a family to enjoy a mellow pairing.
A dream you dream alone is only a dream.
A dream you dream together is reality. 🥰
1. Tom Yum + Mixed Veggie
2. Panang Curry + Khai Jiao (Thai Stlye Omelet)
3. Green Curry + Thai Table Wings
4. Nam Tok + Som Tam (Thai Papaya Salad)
5. Green Curry + Larb Moo
Here are five pairs that we proudly recommend you try. 😘
How about a bowl of good curry to relieve the cold? 😇
Winter's Warm Embrace
Golden hues, a fragrant sight,
A bowl of warmth, a cozy night.
Curry's embrace, a gentle hold,
Spices dancing, stories told.
Steaming broth, a winter's kiss,
A comforting, soul-soothing bliss.
Each spoonful, a tender care,
Chasing chills, dispelling despair.
In every sip, a warmth does reside,
A comforting hug, a wintertide guide.
From chilly nights to hearts grown cold,
A bowl of love, a story untold.
🥰
“Some days have been hard but going out front to see people laughing and happy makes me say, ‘Oh my god.
I have the power to do this again, again, again,’“ she said. 😊
Local Eats: Try authentic Thai food at new Grand Rapids restaurant Thai Table, located at 950 Wealthy St SE in Grand Rapids, serves refreshing Thai food using family recipes made with traditional flavors.
To see this horse of course, we were amazed at how big it was because when we saw it in the pictures that we searched on Google, it didn't look this huge.
It's the opposite of what we're doing right now.
At the beginning we thought it was very big like this horse but after we had been with them for 18 months from the start of the visa,
This thing started to get smaller and smaller or is it because we are bigger?
And everything has become much more "real" from what used to be just imagination, numbers and words on paper.
We had to apply for the visa twice before it was accepted, each time, many documents must be prepared, including the most important thing, a business plan.
In order to make the consul see tangible things and be confident that we can do business here, one of the data what you have to put in is "What is interesting about this city?" and "What interesting tourist attractions do we have in the location of our store?"
In the two rounds we applied for visas important and interesting tourist attractions that the lawyer team included, including us, Google searched for them and put them in here.
It is this garden and of course the picture included in the document is this horse, The American Horse.
We saw this horse many times throughout the period from April when we started until our interview in November, the day we printed out the documents for the interview, this horse is with us.
And after we arrived here on Christmas Day in December, another 10 months passed before we actually saw it and we never believed that we would see it after seeing Thai Table open for business.
Today, one customer said that she came to our restaurant and wanted to order Pad Thai because she had always heard good things about our Pad Thai since we opened.
Another person said that he thought this was the best Thai restaurant in the city, to which his tablemates were quick to agree.
Personally, we feel that having opened for only 1 month, it is too early to think that we have reached that point but if we talk about the hard work, we've put in over the past 18 months to get to where we are today, It felt worth the effort to hear these words.
We think there are only three things that make someone willing to invest in legal fees, building rent, equipment deposits and contracts to do business in another part of the world, even though never stepped foot on it, never seen the real place just like this horse that we only see in our imaginations.
Madness, stupidity, and confidence in our own potential are those three things.
When we hadn't come to see this horse yet, a lot of people around us say we only have the first two things, but we both believe that we have all three things.
And when the day came that we got to see this horse with our own eyes, we begin to wonder if we really only have a third thing
"Confidence in our own potential"
Just sometimes when we see someone who has dreams or goals that are bigger than we can achieve, we often call them crazy or stupid. Is that right?
Hello American Horse, nice to meet you. 😊
This is what our holiday atmosphere looks like 🥰
And today she came out of the kitchen to take a look at her own garden at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. 😆
Just an appetizer and coconut milk for curry 2-3 days for your guy 😆
Yesterday, a Thai person came to visit GR for 1 night and stopped by to eat food at our restaurant.
She told us that when she ate the satay dipping sauce, she almost shed tears because it was so similar to Thailand and it made her miss home.
(I miss it too because it's my mother's recipe both the dipping sauce and the satay marinade recipe 🥹)
Who hasn't tried it yet? Invite you to try pork satay, the real thing in Thailand is pork satay only not chicken satay
But what we made was delicious, no matter pork or chicken haha. 😆
Having said that, I want to eat pork satay, so let's go eat some. 🤣
At least the storefront still has some fall to offer.
Thanks for being a top engager and making it on to my weekly engagement list! 🎉 Dan Gasior, Asadullah Dorrani, Sandra Paul Bennett, Teeranai Jamroon, Peggy Miller, Khlay Hiw, Ruji Rada, Gayle Ann Reis-Gasior, Ari Wong, Karl Rettig
New message but same heart 😇
Revealing pictures of our page's top fans for two weeks in a row 😁
Uncle Dan who sat at table 1 every time and changed the menu every time to try everything,
and always asked how to eat properly like a Thai person 😁
We love you Uncle !!!
Always Hungry !!!
Someday, my lunch looklike this 😆
And this review on Yelp truly made my day. 🥹
10 Stars aren't even close to enough! For the love of all things Thai, this restaurant is LEGIT! I've been anxiously awaiting my first visit to Thai Table, and from the very first bite I was ecstatic, elated, and overjoyed. Every other Thai restaurant in the area has Americanized their Thai food, but Thai Table hasn't: theirs is the real deal.
The nuances, complexities, and subtleties of the flavors of Thai cuisine are unmatched by any other world cuisine. Thai is my favorite cuisine without a close second - we seek out Thai cuisine whenever we travel.......always hoping for an authentic, not Americanized, experience. We ordered six different things from the menu, and Thai Table nailed every single one. I almost cried after the first bite - I was FINALLY taken back to authentic Thailand cuisine without going to Thailand or a much bigger American city. It's about time, Grand Rapids!
Eak and MiMi are quintessential Thai hosts: Extremely friendly, welcoming, gracious, and absolutely delightful. This restaurant has been open only one month, and they're doing so many things right. Run, don't walk, to Thai Table if you want an EXCELLENT, authentic, Thai dining experience.
And please be kind - Can you imagine moving 8000 miles away from home, to a VERY different culture, learning a VERY difficult new language, and navigating all things involved in opening a restaurant??? Eak and Mimi are the nicest, sweetest people. My hope is that they see the kindness in Americans and we do everything we can to help them be successful.
🥰🥰🥰🥰
After 1 month has passed the feeling that something was starting to make more sense began to rush into the brain and heart.
Importantly, there are still many good things happening almost every day in Thai Table.
Of course, every once in a while, we receive a low score review that gives us a good perspective to improve.
But in terms of the good side, we received many times more comments in that way but most of it doesn't happen on the internet, it happens between us face to face, looking into each other's eyes, smiling at each other, and admiring each other in an atmosphere of reality, yes... in the real world
Someone came in and told us they were moving to California, so they came to eat our good food one last time before going.
Someone told us that they had eaten with friends and were impressed so they brought their girlfriends to coming again.
Some people came as a group of two, father and son, many times until they invited friends to come again, invited grandchildren to come again.
Some people come to eat together on the occasion of their wedding anniversary, anniversary of relationship and, of course, many more that come on the occasion of birthdays.
Some couples moved from New York and missed real Thai food, one customer was so impressed that she asked to speak with Mimi to reveal that she was from San Francisco and this is the best Thai food I've ever eaten.
There are many people who go out of their way to tell us. How much does what we intend to do affect them?
Sometimes our lives are hard enough as it is, each day passed with patience already, one last simple thing that many people want to ask for That is, asking for good dinner to be the last meal of the day before going to bed.
It's a good memory to make those difficult days passed with good feelings and have strength ready to fight a new day.
Sometimes we are embarrassed to hear that we are the best Thai restaurant that many customers have ever eaten at.
Sometimes we are embarrassed to listen when some people say that our pad thai is the best by far or without competitors
It felt good but also strange to face those compliments directly, because in Thai society we may not have this way of expressing ourselves, but people here choose to praise each other openly and openly, and we easily feel that they are telling the truth.
After 8 p.m. yesterday, there are fewer customers. Starting to have more time to talk with customers, one couple said they read good reviews on Google, so they came here.
I smiled and said that actually Thai Table's family doesn't review there much.
Most people choose to tell us face-to-face in this restaurant, and also by word of mouth to their loved ones, friends, and family because everyone wants their loved ones to eat something good.
There were good feelings shared at the dining table.
Finally, thank you to everyone who expressed good feelings about the food and our restaurant, the decorations, the menu, the atmosphere, including many people who praised our bathrooms. Haha.
And thank you for the holidays that give us the opportunity to post like this sometimes.
We miss everyone, when you have free time, don't forget to meet up. The weather is getting cold. There's nothing better than slurping hot curry at our restaurant, right?
Oh, and finally, if anyone wants to share good feelings with friends who have never tried food and create new good memories at our restaurant. You can help express your good feelings this way.
May today be a good day for everyone. 😇

We opened the shop on the first day on 12 September,
which means today is our 1-month anniversary.
It went so fast that we didn't even know it and the next thing I found out is that customers asked what day we opened.
After answering, I realized.
A month has made many good memories here, smiling, laughing, talking, exchanging, getting to know each other, holding hands, embracing, listening to each other's stories, and of course, it's not just good food, it's the memories we have together.
Thank you to everyone who came to support us, and we apologize to everyone that we may have sometimes made food that did not meet your needs, received food late or have various problems that make you uncomfortable.
All of us are ready to improve for move forward so far.
Finally, I'd like to say that it's already been 1 month.
We will give ourselves a round of applause 😊
Sa-Wad-Dee Kaaaa !!! 😆
There are no failures. There is only feedback to improve.
It's a quote I've always held dear and yesterday I had to use it again to get through a tough day.
Last Friday, Saturday, Sunday were quite heavy days because there were customers coming in all day and sales were skyrocketing.
Always make new records,
along with challenges of having to manage customers who order takeout both over the phone, website and coming into the store but it was not yet time to deal with that matter.
New challenges have arrived.
With being busy all day and demand keeps coming in. (Which is a pleasure) we encountered problems in the work process.
As a result, the taste of food cooked with chicken, pork, and beef changes without us knowing.
Until there were lovely customers who had eaten there and realized that this was not our true taste. The first dish, the meat in the Spicy Thai steak had a taste that was not what it should have been.
And the customer asked to order the curry that she had eaten before and knew how delicious it was last week.
But today it's not.
Until finally we discovered that there was a process glitch in the kitchen due to our inexperience. There is still something to learn.
Finally, we informed the 3-4 tables of customers that we could only sell shrimp and tofu.
There are some who are pleased but some people ask for the next opportunity to come back and eat chicken.
But what we felt rather bad about was that there was a table where it was Father's birthday who came to celebrate at that table.
And of course it was the same day as my mother's birthday.
Then we had to close the shop 2 hours before the actual closing time because we didn't want customers to have to eat anything that wasn't up to our standards.
When you think you're going to make it.
It's about to be controlled.
The world is always throwing out new things to challenge you.
But that's okay. We don't have to be good at everything.
Setting up your first restaurant thousands of miles away from your hometown It will take some time before we are strong enough to solve all our problems.
Still, we have things we want to fix.
Because we don't want anyone to eat food that is not the best for them. Therefore, our customers who come to eat in the restaurant and order through the website this Saturday and Sunday, 5-6 October 2024
If you feel that there is anything on the menu that doesn't taste as good as it should.
or if familiar with our standards, you'll know that what you're eating isn't what you're eating.
For those who keep receipts you can come into the store and order the same menu for free immediately. Don't be considerate.
We want you to get the best from us.
Thank you to all customers at the shop who understand and thank you for your encouragement.
There was a word from a customer in the shop yesterday that heals our heavy days
They said "we are all human"
It's true, right? No one wants to make mistakes. Especially people who do everything and must be the best like us.
But the important thing is to solve the problem. and how to take our lives further
