St. Ann's
St. Ann's was founded by the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus. We are licensed by the State of MI as a Home for the Aged and a Nursing facility.
Ann's provides Rehab, Assisted Living, Nursing and Alzheimer's care on a scenic campus on Grand Rapids near West Side. Ann' has been an anchor in the community since the 1950's and continues to earn five-star national quality honors. You can also learn more about the Carmelite Sisters at http://carmelitedcjnorth.org.
Here's a shout-out to Sobie Meats for supporting St. Ann's staff and residents today, as they celebrated the Feast of St. Anne and St. Joachim, and the Paris Olympics.
Thank you for helping make today's mid-day meal fantastic & tasty!
Another special moment at Mass here today, the Anointing:
Celebrant Fr. Greg Veneklase anointed Mass attendees; through the sacrament of anointing, the Church supports the sick in
their struggle against any illness, and continues Christ’s messianic work of healing all.
We are thrilled to announce this new partnership, which can benefit West Michigan residents. Call to see if you or a family member qualifies:
Two faith-related notes to our friends & family:
* Last week Fr. Ayub (of St. Jude Parish and a regular Mass celebrant here) and Cardinal Joseph Coutts, the Archbishop emeritus of Karachi, Pakistan, together celebrated Mass at St. Ann's. Cardinal Coutts was in the United States visiting Fr. Ayub and others.
* And this week, our Carmelite Sisters began a Novena to St. Anne, one of the patrons of our home. The feast of St. Anne and of St. Joachim is Friday, July 26.
Continued thanks to everyone who attends Mass here and to all those who keep the Sisters and our residents in prayer.
St. Ann's staff and residents hope you enjoy family, friends & celebrations today!
Life-changing decisions can take time.

Christmas is such an important, world-changing event that it is celebrated for eight days, and in fact an entire season. We take time to reflect on God's gift of Jesus to us. Jesus is the true light to guide us. God with us - Emmanuel.
God gave His greatest gift to us on that first Christmas Day, and may the wonder of it always light and guide your way.
