The Burial of the Alleluia, an ancient custom observed at the Basilica of Saint Adalbert, takes place each year on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday. We say goodbye to this sacred word for the entire duration of Lent. The Alleluia will return only during the Easter Vigil after the 40-day period of Lent.
