Hey JHB babes it’s me, Josephine! Many changes have occurred over the last year. I sold my salon in Grand Rapids, MI a year after relocating to Southern California! I’m excited for you to come along with me on this journey as I navigate being a licensed realtor and still making time to do what I love, hair.
Styling hair has always been more than that for me. Clients who sit in your chair, this is their outlet. This is their peace. This is where they get to lay their hair down, literally. As a stylist of 15 years I’ve learned to listen to my clients and let them have this moment.
Stylist, we need to be more in tune to our clients.

We totally 1000% agree with this message. Also, in between shampoos use scalp refresher is amazing for your protective styles especially since you can’t shampoo as often this product help to get the build up off the scalp. And you don’t have to rinse it out! It helps decrease that sweaty smell that protective styles have. It’s anti-itch, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory.

I get a loc retwist once a month and normally midway through, I’ve scratched a hole in my scalp 🤣 I’ve been using this for a little over a month and my scalp hardly itches. The peppermint and lemon essential oils feel so amazing! Calms any irritation I have. A great sealant too!
