Secure Environment Consultants and SEC Shield are proud to announce the appointment of Beth Clark as the new Director of Safety and Security for Clarkston Community Schools. Beth brings a wealth of experience from her 26-year tenure with the Michigan State Police, where she retired as a Major/Assistant Deputy Director in the Field Support Bureau. In this role, she provided essential leadership and management to several critical divisions, including the State 911 Office, Biometrics, Forensic Science, Emergency Management & Homeland Security, Grants & Community Services, Criminal Justice Information, Information Technology, and Intelligence Operations.
Prior to becoming a Major, Beth served as the Captain of the Forensic Science Division, overseeing the operational activities of eight regional laboratories strategically located throughout Michigan. These laboratories provided forensic services to more than 600 law enforcement agencies across the state.
Beth is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, where she served as vice president of her class and was honored with the Franklin M. Kreml Leadership Award. This prestigious award is given to the individual who best exemplifies dedication, devotion, ethics, and a sense of justice in today's law enforcement community.
Beth is excited to begin her new role with Clarkston Community Schools and is committed to fostering a safe and secure environment where students, teachers, and staff can feel comfortable learning and working.
Last fall, the California legislature supported a groundbreaking workplace violence prevention law, SB 553, requiring virtually every employer in the state to develop, implement, and annually train on a written workplace violence prevention plan. This comprehensive law ensures places of employment are proactive about workplace violence identification and compliance.
