It's Field Trip Friday! π
Our Paul I. Phillips Clubs members have been making the most of the summer with field trips to Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park and The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum!
At our Steil Club, the learning never stops! π‘ Our members have been eagerly tackling summer activity books with our amazing staff and volunteers! π
We are so grateful for our partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to provide mental health and wellness services at our Clubs. Their support helps fund our licensed master of social work (LMSW) position, master of social work (MSW) interns, trauma-informed care training for staff and important initiatives like our cool-down corners.
Managed by our MSW interns, these corners provide a space for members to learn new coping skills, practice emotional regulation, and take a break when they are feeling over stimulated. On average, 25 members utilize our cool down corners every day and 92 percent of them indicated that the cool down corner helped them to cool down.
Thank you, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan!
Get ready to eat, drink, and be merry at our Be Great Tailgate event! π
