CHESS provides affordable credit and business training to over 1,200 members in Kiambu, Kenya, a number that will continue to grow with the help of this new facility.

๐๐ฝ Please pray for Sri Lankaโs economy to recover. Human rights and political concerns have increased the risk of losing preferential access to the European Union for its readymade garments. If not addressed, it will plunge more people into poverty.
๐๐ฝ Please pray for vaccination access for the underprivileged in India, Sri Lanka & Nepal.
๐๐ฝ Please pray for our partners as they continue to serve the most vulnerable communities during this time of crisis.
๐๐ฝ Please pray for those who have lost their jobs and financial security due to the second wave that has hit India hard. It is estimated that over 10 million jobs have been lost and 97% households in India are facing income decline.
๐๐ฝ Praise God that our local partner NCEASL commenced five-week business training course for our fourth cohort of rural church planters developing their micro-businesses. 44 church planters have already completed this course. The training is coupled with a cash grant raised by the LCI as seed capital.
๐๐ฝ Praise God that Leadership in Action (through its member Joseph's Foundation) supported two more female entrepreneurs from vulnerable backgrounds with seed capital, business training and mentoring in July. This follows successful support of five female entrepreneurs during the first six months of 2021.

A new day starts, a new week begins. And we pray for Myanmar.
Let's continue to pray, "Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy!" One of our partners received a new update this weekend from one of our LCIs (Local Community Institution) leaders in Myanmar announcing the loss of friends and fellows due to Covid-19. We rest in the assurance that they are with the Lord, but we keep their families and communities in our prayers.
