We left the front wall out so we could use the lift for some framing in this huge cathedral living room. That's thinking 10 steps ahead!
I've been getting asked why I don't do more educational type videos, so here goes nothing!
This is the first video of a series of three. I wanted to show a little more of what goes into a house structurally like shear walls, load transfers aka bearing points, laying out studs and floor joists so everything stacks and transfers weight equally, and lastly our process of setting windows to enclose the house.
I hope you enjoy and maybe even learn a little something along the way!

Roof system going in! 🤙 52' long continuous LVL and I-joists to make the 2.5:12 pitch roof.

A cantilevered front porch is a first for me but I gotta say it looks pretty cool 🤙
We installed two rows of structural blocks and straps to tie the two different types of roofs together 👌
