We are pleased to be part of this project to provide books to children of Kent County.

There is joy and dignity in a new book 13 On Your Side has partnered with Storytime GR, Summer Reading Celebrations and the Grand Rapids Public Library to hold a series of events to keep kids reading.

We're in need of a few good men and women! We have to Toys for Tots distribution sites that need help getting their semi full of toys unloaded. Thursday, December 14th (my site, the most fun of course!) at Sts. Peter and Paul School on the westside and Discovery School in Kentwood on Friday, December 15th. This is a great opportunity for a team building exercise for your office or a high school athletic team! We've both got sign ups available! Both are afternoon gigs.

Make a child’s holiday brighter! Now through Dec. 11, the Cascade Township Fire Department is accepting new, unwrapped toys for the annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots drive!

Toys may be dropped off into the collection box from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays-Fridays at Cascade Township Hall, 5920 Tahoe Drive SE.

Here's an idea! Take you child/children with you to the store and let them help pick out the gifts to donate. Provide them with an amount of money that they may spend and see the joy of watching them pick out gifts for other children.

Holland student organizes school's first Toys for Tots box after watching 13 ON YOUR SIDE A school in Holland is joining the challenge for the first time this year thanks to one student who watched our morning news and wanted to get his school involved.

Once again, Fastco is serving as a donation location for the Toys for Tots Program. If you are able to donate a gift, please bring a new, unwrapped toy (no perishables or toys that look like weapons, please) and place it in one of the donation boxes.

About Toys for Tots
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program began in 1947. Its mission is to collect new toys between October and December of each year and give them as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children.

PFD is once again a TOYS FOR TOTS collection site this year 🧸 The goal is to give the parents in our community a chance to give their children a special holiday 🎄 Drop off your toys Monday - Friday between 8am-4pm at 4343 Plainfield Ave. NE.

What kind of toys can you donate?

🏈 un-wrapped
👾 preferably around the $10 or above price range
📚 books are also needed
🧶 homemade toys are also accepted

🔸 Toys NOT allowed: used toys, toys that look like realistic weapons, toys with candy or food, and toys with chemicals (i.e., experimental labs, acid, crystal projects, etc.) 🔸
