"Let The Church Say Amen"

Brother Norvie Cottingham Jr

Scripture Reading

Numbers 9:15-17
Numbers 9:23
Numbers 33
Romans 15:4
Matthew 26
Psalms 78:14
Genesis( 45:10)
Genesis 46:27
Exodus1 5, 1:7,1:11,1:13,1:14
Exodus 8:22,9:26

God tells us to move. When God says to go we must say Amen. The COI had to watch The Cloud to know when and where to move next. The only cloud to watch was the cloud directly over the camp of meeting. Not any cloud would work . The Lord did not leave them to themselves.

When the Lord says move
What happens if you don't move..
Examples
Adam and Eve
Cain killed his brotherAbel..

Noah was told by God the world would be destroyed by water. ..

Days of Lot those left behind in S***m and Gomorrah....

In the days Rehab ... by being obedient to God she hid the spys in her home which saved her and her family.

ROMANS 10:17
When we walk by faith not by sight. That's when we know when to move by listening to GOD...

"Leaving Something for you"

Scripture Reading
I Corinthians 13:13
I John 4:8-
Luke 10:27
Romans 12:9
Matthew 5:4
Philippians 4:8
God Is love
God is his word
Proverbs 30
We Can't separate God from his word. Just as we can not separate God from love.
Isn't he lovely
Isn't he precious
1 John 4:7-9 KJV
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. [8] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. [9] In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Because he lives I can face tomorrow...
Because He lives all fear is gone......
And life is worth living because He lives.....
Stronger

John 8:29
Gods love is stronger
Stronger than the love of John and David...
God Is Love if you have God you have love ...
If we don't have love we don't have love

1 John 4:20 AMP
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates (works against) his [Christian] brother he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

1 John 4:11-12 AMP
Beloved, if God so loved us [in this incredible way], we also ought to love one another. [12] No one has seen God at any time. But if we love one another [with unselfish concern], God abides in us, and His love [the love that is His essence abides in us and] is completed and perfected in us.
I Corinthians 13:4-8

What Lovers of God Do

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 AMP
Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. [5] It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. [6] It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. [7] Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. [8] Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. But as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for the gift of special knowledge, it will pass away.

Just as He takes care of the sparrow God will take care of us

Lyrics to the song

EACOC Does not own the rights to this song

Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches
I know He watches
I know He watches me
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
He watches me

“Gods Promises to us “ Hold onto them

Isaiah 55:10 KJV
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

Psalms 73:2, psalms 139
Psalms 3:5
Trust in the Lord will all of your heart! Lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge him in all your ways! Build your hopes on things eternal. Looking above holding onto God’s unchanging hand
Luke 12:6-7
Luke 12:7 KJV
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.God has not forgotten you just as he takes care of the sparrows.
He renews
He refreshes
He Rebuilds
He Restores our souls
Weeping endures for a night but joy comes in morning
I John 4:19I We love him because He first loved us
Seek ye first the kingdom
What’s a Sampson attitude ?
God kept on blessing Sampson over and over but eventually the spirit of God left him. Thinking that We can do things without examining if God approves. Is your life in line with Gods word. Trust in God and He will not forget you. Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of our lives.

“Building With Purpose “

Nehemiah 2:17-18 AMP
Then I said to them, “You see the bad situation that we are in—how Jerusalem is desolate and lies in ruins and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, and let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, so that we will no longer be a disgrace.” [18] Then I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me and also about the words that the king had spoken to me. And they said, “Let us rise up and build.” So they thoroughly supported the good work.

The people were already aware of the city’s condition. It was not until Nehemiah came that any action was taken. We must increase our faith. God will give A Man of God the vision. The vision was kept a secret at first. Nehemiah showed them what God needed them to do. The Officials did not know the wall was going to be rebuilt. Always consult God First when you’re presented with an opportunity. Neh 2:4-5
Nehemiah was dealing with the King yet he went to God before he decided and answered.

Proverbs 20:11-13
Hearing ear and the seeing eye.
James 2:26
For as body without spirit is dead faith without works is also dead.
Psalms 133:1
I Corinthians 12:12
Nehemiah 2:4-5

Proverbs 20:11-13 AMP
Even a boy is known and distinguished by his acts, Whether his conduct is pure and right. [12] The hearing ear and the seeing eye, The [omnipotent] LORD has made both of them. [13] Do not love [excessive] sleep, or you will become poor; Open your eyes [so that you can do your work] and you will be satisfied with bread.

Don't Panic!

Scriptures To Read

Numbers 13 and 14
For 40 days they searched the land . They came back with a report filled with doubts and fears .This caused the others to panic.

20:8Deuteronomy 20:8 ASV
And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and faint-hearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart melt as his heart.

Children Of Isreal had a tendency of panicing. They gave Moses much stress because of doubts andcfears. Questions are healthy for learning and growth. Don't always look back. Sometimes we separate from the distractions and negative influences. In order to get to the goal with God in your sights. If your in a storm we may think we have seen it all before. We forget that we need the Lord in our boat in the midst of our storms. He is the only one who can quiet the stormy seas of life. We must turn to him and away from the things that distract us.We must trust in God.

“Why Jesus Is “

Jesus Carry’s it all bad deeds and thoughts he put it all on the cross when he was crucified . He took our place and the sins of the world. He took them all to grave. He wants to save us from our sins.

Acts 9:4-5 KJV
And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [5] And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Luke 11:29 KJV
And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
Mark 2:10 KJV
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
Matthew 8:26 KJV
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

The **Golden Ager Banquet 2024**—Was a unique and intriguing affair—captured our attention. When the minister announced it as a "working banquet," curiosity buzzed through the air. We observed the minister's creativity and mindset, and he certainly didn't disappoint. The event was well-executed, leaving us with a sense of fulfillment. The discussions centered around community service, particularly aiding our senior citizens. The church's role in fostering a safe haven aligned with the Church of Christ's mission. As we gathered at Eastern Avenue, we felt the urgency—the call to prepare the way for positive change.Originally Post and Decor By Debra’s Delightful Events

"Thy Faith faileth Not"

Scripture Reading 22

Satan wanted to destroy all the disciples but especially Simon Peter. Peter needed to know that Jesus would pray for him. He needed the support of his Leader and teacher. Jesus in preparation to die he still prayed for there faith to strengthen and not be diminished. Jesus didn't want his faith to fail. In love we can have Peter like moments. Peter walked on the water by Jesus authority by when he became distracted taking his eyes off of Jesus and allowing his emotions to take over. He began to sink. The same happens to us when we leave Jesus thinking we can handle the storms of life by ourselves. We become overwhelmed weak and deny Christ in those moment. Confessing before men. Jesus was tempted by the Devil too Matthew 41. But each time he responded with God's language.

Scripture Reading Luke 22

Satan desires to sift us like wheat and wants to devour us. God allows the Devil to test us. To show our strength and faith in the Lord. Be cautious against the fleshly need to be admired and wanted and accepted by Man. The Devil will admire your and seek you so he can destroy your life and take your soul. Sifting always comes after we hear the word. The Devil activates. Luke 8:12-14 KJV
Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. [13] They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. [14] And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. He sifts so tha the can shift our hearts away from God.

"Oh What A Night "

Scripture Reading

Luke 22:24, 22:31
Matt 26:31
John13:34. John 14:3,dies. 17:14-17, 17:21
Acts 2:36
Proverbs 16:4
John 16:33
Revelation 12:9-10
I Peter 5:8
2 Corinthians 12:7
Lamentations 3:37-38
2 Thessalonians 2:18
Acts 5:1-3

The last night of Jesus life he spent teaching the disciples. He taught them how to pray and what I should pray for. The Holy Spirit they could not obtain until Jesus died. The heart of man can only change when itcome in contact with the Holy spirit. Because of Jesus we can be one. l Pharoah was created for Gods glory. God always overcome Evil. Romans 12:21 God will allow us to be tempted and challenged to get the glory. Ge chooses if he wants to remove it because his grace is sufficient. Jesus on the last night reminded Peter he would be better. The goal is to survive the sifting process that Satan tries to do to us. To get stronger to where we can help somebody else and teach someone else.

"Look And Live"

Brother Joseph Edward's

Scripture Reading
Numbers 21:8-9 KJV
And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. [9] And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

We should be thankful for all things. Be Careful to not to complain especially when we don't understand. We are complaining against God. The man servant Moses was subjected to dealing with the people. The instead of obeying God the Children Of Israel

John 3:14-15 KJV
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life
Look to live. JESUS gives us what we need to be sustained within our circumstances. Though we may be snake bitten . If we stay with God repent of it sins . He will bring us victory in him.

Matthew 27:11-66 TPT
As Jesus stood in front of the Roman governor, Pilate asked him, “So, you are the king of the Jews?” Jesus answered, “You have just spoken it.” [12] Then he was accused by the chief priests and religious leaders, but he remained silent. [13] Pilate said, “Don’t you hear these allegations?” [14] But Jesus offered no defense to any of the charges, much to the great astonishment of Pilate. [15] Now, every year at Passover it was the custom of the governor to pardon a prisoner and release him to the people—anyone they wanted. [16] And at that time, Pilate was holding in custody a notorious criminal named Jesus Barabbas. [17] So as the crowds of people assembled outside of Pilate’s residence, he went out and offered them a choice. He asked them, “Who would you want me to release to you today, Jesus who is called Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Anointed One?” [18] (Now, Pilate was fully aware that the religious leaders had handed Jesus over to him because of their bitter jealousy.) [19] Just then, as Pilate was presiding over the tribunal, his wife sent him an urgent message: “Don’t harm that holy man, for I suffered a horrible nightmare last night about him!” [20] Meanwhile, the chief priest and the religious leaders were inciting the crowd to ask for Barabbas to be freed and to have Jesus killed. [21] So Pilate asked them again, “Which of the two men would you like me to release for you?” They shouted, “Barabbas.” [22] Pilate asked them, “Then what would you have me to do with Jesus who is called the Anointed One?” They all shouted back, “Crucify him!” [23] “Why?” Pilate asked. “What has he done wrong?” But they kept shouting out, “Crucify him!” [24] When Pilate realized that a riot was about to break out and that it was useless to try to reason with the crowd, he sent for a basin of water. After washing his hands in front of the people, he said, “I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man. The responsibility for his death is now yours!” [25] And the crowd replied, “Let his blood be on us and on our children!” [26] So he released Barabbas to the people. He ordered that Jesus be beaten with a whip of leather straps embedded with metal, and afterward be crucified. [27] Then the guards took him into their military compound, where a detachment of nearly six hundred soldiers surrounded him. [28] They stripped off his clothing and placed a scarlet robe on him to make fun of him. [29] Then they braided a crown of thorns and forcefully shoved it onto his head. After placing a reed staff in his right hand, they knelt down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, king of the Jews!” [30] Then they spat in his face and took the reed staff from his hand and hit him repeatedly on his head, driving the crown of thorns deeper. [31] When they finished ridiculing him, they took off the scarlet robe and put his own clothes back on him and led him away to be crucified. [32] And as they came out of the city, they stopped an African man named Simon, from Libya, and compelled him to carry the cross for Jesus. [33] They brought Jesus to Golgotha, which means “Skull Hill.” [34] And there the soldiers offered him a mild painkiller, a drink of wine mixed with gall, but after tasting it, he refused to drink it. [35] Then they crucified Jesus, nailing his hands and feet to the cross. The soldiers divided his clothing among themselves by rolling dice to see who would win them. [36] And the soldiers stood there to watch what would happen and to keep guard over him. [37] Above his head they placed a sign that read, “This is Jesus of Nazareth, King of Israel.” [38] Two criminals were also crucified with Jesus, one on each side of him. [39] And those who passed by shook their heads and ridiculed him, [40] saying, “We heard you boast that you could destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days! Why don’t you save yourself now? If you’re really God’s Son, come down from the cross!” [41] Even the ruling priests, with the Jewish scholars and religious leaders, joined in the mockery [42] and kept on saying, “He saved others, but he can’t even save himself! Israel’s king, is he? He should pull out the nails and come down from the cross right now; then we’ll believe in him! [43] He puts his trust in God, so let’s see if it’s true, and see if God really wants to rescue him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’ ” [44] Even the two criminals who were crucified with Jesus began to taunt him, hurling their insults on him. [45] For three hours, beginning at noon, a sudden and unexpected darkness came over the earth. [46] And at three o’clock Jesus shouted with a mighty voice in Aramaic, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?”—that is, “My God, My God, why have you deserted me?” [47] Some who were standing near the cross misunderstood and said, “He’s calling for Elijah.” [48] One bystander ran and got a sponge, soaked it with sour wine, then put it on a stick and held it up for Jesus to drink. [49] But the rest said, “Leave him alone! Let’s see if Elijah comes to rescue him.” [50] Jesus passionately cried out, took his last breath, and gave up his spirit. [51] At that moment the veil in the Holy of Holies was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth shook violently, rocks were violently split apart, [52] and graves were opened. Then many of the holy ones who had died were brought back to life and came out of their graves. [53] And after Jesus’ resurrection, they were seen by many people walking in Jerusalem. [54] Now, when the Roman military officer and his soldiers witnessed what was happening and felt the powerful earthquake, they were extremely terrified. They said, “There is no doubt, this man was the Son of God!” [55] Watching from a distance were many of the women who had followed him from Galilee and given him support. [56] Among them were Mary Magdalene; Mary, the mother of Jacob and Joseph; and the mother of Jacob and John. [57] At the end of the day, a wealthy man named Joseph, a follower of Jesus from the village of Ramah, [58] approached Pilate and asked if he could take custody of the body of Jesus. So Pilate consented and ordered that the body be given to him. [59] Then Joseph wrapped the body in a shroud of fine linen and placed it in his own unused tomb, which had only recently been cut into the rock. [60] They rolled a large stone to seal the entrance of the tomb and left. [61] Sitting across from the tomb were Mary Magdalene and the other Marys, watching all that took place. [62] The next day, the day after Preparation Day for Passover, the chief priests and the Pharisees went together to Pilate. [63] They said to him, “Our master, we remember that this imposter claimed that he would rise from the dead after three days. [64] So please, order the tomb to be sealed until after the third day. Seal it so that his disciples can’t come and steal the co**se and tell people he rose from the dead. Then the last deception would be worse than the first!” [65] “I will send soldiers to guard the tomb,” Pilate replied. “Go with them and make the tomb as secure as possible.” [66] So they left and sealed the stone, and Pilate’s soldiers secured the tomb.

Matthew 28:1-10 TPT
After the Sabbath ended, at the first light of dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to take a look at the tomb. [2-4] Suddenly, the earth shook violently beneath their feet as the angel of the YAHWEH descended from heaven. Lightning flashed around him and his robe was dazzling white! The guards were stunned and terrified—lying motionless like dead men. Then the angel walked up to the tomb, rolled away the stone, and sat on top of it! [5] The women were breathless and terrified, until the angel said to them, “There’s no reason to be afraid. I know you’re here looking for Jesus, who was crucified. [6] He isn’t here—he has risen victoriously, just as he said! Come inside the tomb and see the place where our Lord was lying. [7] Then run and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead! I give you his message: ‘I am going ahead of you to Galilee and you will see me there.’ ” [8] They rushed quickly to tell his disciples, and their hearts were filled with fear, awe, and great joy at the same time. [9] Along the way, Jesus suddenly appeared in front of them and said, “Rejoice!” They were so overwhelmed by seeing him that they bowed down and grasped his feet in adoring worship. [10] Then Jesus said to them, “Throw off all your fears. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. They will find me there.”

whoever says he lives in Christ [that is, whoever says he has accepted Him as God and Savior] ought [as a moral obligation] to walk and conduct himself just as He walked and conducted Himself.

1 Corinthians 7:7-9 AMP
I wish that all the people were as I am; but each person has his own gift from God, one of this kind and one of that. [8] But I say to the unmarried and to the widows, [that as a practical matter] it is good if they remain [single and entirely devoted to the Lord] as I am. [9] But if they do not have [sufficient] self-control, they should marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

[2] Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, [3] Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, [4] Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. [5] And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob +were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.

For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in. [4] And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord. And they did so.
