We don’t often showcase custom work from other jewelers but when the right ring comes along, we do. This custom 14K wide gold band features heavy texturing throughout the center and very pretty ribboned edges. It’s the kind of piece that people notice even though it isn’t “loud”. Having a moment for these platinum diamond hoops today! They were a gift for a special customer, and their family tradition includes birthstones as part of this momentous gift. The blue topaz dangles were an important ingredient to this project, but also - they provided such a *wow* factor! The earrings can be worn with or without the blue topaz, which was our customer’s genius idea. What do you think - are they fabulous or are they fabulous?!

Are you familiar with boulder opal? Our customer had this ring with a damaged opal and she selected this dramatic boulder opal for its replacement. We love these stones for the unique contrast between the dark ironstone and the veins of bright blue and green opal. Boulder opals have a lot of character and interest and we can’t get enough of them! We hope our customer feels the same.

Sometimes custom work is modeled after an existing ring (see our last post) and sometimes it comes about because you have diamonds or other stones in specific sizes and shapes. The more specific you get with your likes/dislikes, your supplies, your constraints, etc, the more likely it is that a jewelry manufacturer hasn’t already made the design you envision. Custom work opens up a world of possibilities! This 3-Diamond pendant is a piece we made using our customer’s diamonds, in a nice classic style. You can never go wrong with classic ✨

A while back, we shared an emerald and diamond ring here and it produced a flurry of attention. Several people were interested in the ring, and it sold pretty quickly. It left a mark - in a good way! We recently made a lookalike emerald diamond ring for a different customer who missed out on the first one. The downside of selling unique pieces is that there is usually just one of each. The upside? It’s us! We’ll make you another one, and this time you can select all of your own stones! ✨

We’re taking a close look at this custom Tanzanite and diamond pendant today! The incorporated bail, that intense color, the way it interacts with the light, it’s all so good! This one was made to order but we can make one for YOU next time.

Interest in engagement ring design can easily be split into two camps: those who choose symmetry in the ring and those who don’t. This couple took it a step further with a multi-stone approach! A cluster of blue stones and white diamonds came together beautifully to create a truly unique ring. Don’t forget the hand-carved wedding band! So yeah, this isn’t going to be the image you save for symmetry. But you’d better believe it’ll be saved everywhere else!

Five-ish years ago a couple came in with an inherited diamond ring. They wanted to make an engagement ring using the inherited diamonds that more reflected their own style. And so this diamond engagement ring was born! ✨ Recently, they had us add the high polish gold wedding band that fits against it, the perfect complement to the glitz of the diamonds. The smooth gleam of the gold band keeps the focus on those sparkly diamonds, right where it belongs!

It’s an “old” favorite! Actually- the ring is new but it looks like an antique. We didn’t make this ring but we did alter the diamond setting to be the traditional hand set, bead setting (to look historically accurate)! We’ve been modifying this ring for years, and what it comes down to is the way that diamond is set. Now it’s lovely and timeless and available in our showroom ✨

This handsome diamond ring stopped in recently with its owner. We made the ring for him over two decades ago and it’s still looking fabulous! Custom jewelry typically contains more gold than production pieces so as they wear over time they maintain themselves beautifully. And whatever your ring’s origin, it can always be refinished to bring out that gorgeous gleamy gold!
