Our Cascade Trails friends and family had a spectacular 4th! 🇺🇸 One of our furry friends assisted us in hosting a patriotic “PAW”ty on the sky deck!

We were then surprised by a spirited impromptu performance by one of our lovely residents! She sure knows how to engage a crowd.

To top it all off, we ended the week with our favorite form of entertainment, KARAOKE, along with a “Red, White, & Brew” Happy Hour! 🍺♥️

Flag Day: Friday, 06/14.

We celebrated National Flag Day with a delicious cookout, followed by a beautiful flag ceremony!

Thank you to Kent County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Katherine Ophoff and Detective Steven Ophoff, for a lovely display and education of our American Flag! We are beyond grateful for your service. 🇺🇸

Another lovely Father’s Day gathering: “Beers, Brats, & Beer Cheese” with a side of axe throwing!! Our Memory Care neighborhood was filled with food, festivities, and loving friends & family! 🍺🎉

Our Life Enrichment Lead, Noelle, put on quite the show with her catchy dad jokes and Father’s Day fun facts! With that being said, “why do fathers who golf take an extra pair of socks?” … “in case they get a hole in one!”.

We're celebrating Father's Day early! Today, some of the dads in our community showed off their perfect aim! We had a blast knocking down targets with our Power POPpers! 🎯

Surprise surprise, back at Fredrick Meijer Gardens & Sculptures with our Assisted Living neighborhood!! Today we took a ride on the tram with our wonderful driver, Jim, and our very fun and knowledgeable tour guide, Stuart! ⛲️🪴

“Music with Melissa” is always a favorite in our Memory Care neighborhood! 🎶

Today’s performance was both therapeutic and soothing as memories flooded back with each song. Our hearts are most definitely full!

Memorial Day recognition and appreciation! Thank you to all of those who gathered to commemorate our fallen heroes & their familes!

“On the Record” Music & Malts! Our Life Enrichment Lead, Alyssa, shared her record collecting hobby and love for delicious malts!

We had such a wonderful time listening to our favorite soundtracks and sipping on refreshing ice cream drinks! 🎶🥤 Perfect for a sunny day!

We are so grateful to live so close to Fredrick Meijer Gardens & Sculptures! Our Memory Care neighborhood made another trip to visit the gardens, but this time we ventured outdoors!

Out favorite attraction were the fountains, mostly because of all of the children playing in the water! “We could watch forever”!

Thank you Michigan weather for cooperating for us today and making our experience even better by adding some beautiful sunshine!⛲️🪴☀️

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our wonderful moms at Cascade Trails! We celebrated with a Mother’s Day “Tea Par-tea”, Mom Massages, and much more! Get your groovy “Game On”: 1970’s Edition! We embraced our inner disco as we engaged in games that were both created and popularized in the 70’s! 🪩🕺

Did you know that Connect Four (1974) has over 4.5 trillion combinations? Or that UNO (1971) was first ever sold in a barbershop? 💈

We had a stellar time playing games with these hip, cool cats! 😎🌸

“April showers” must also bring “April flowers”, because we sure hit the jackpot a month early!

Today we shopped at the wonderful Koetsiers Greenhouse and got everything we needed for our future outdoor flower planting. Service most definitely with a smile! We even made a new kitty friend. 🐈🌼

We also got to arrange some lovely fresh flower centerpieces!

Happy Opening Day of the Masters! Green jackets, open bar, and the ultimate mini golf tournament, made for a fantastic kick off to the golf season. ⛳️

I think we can all agree that rainy days are the perfect excuse to take the course indoors!

“Oooooooo” “ahhhhhhh”!! We were all amazed and thrilled to observe the Solar Eclipse today. Some may say it was an “out of this world” experience! 🌖☀️

Who knew “grocery” shopping could be so exciting! We took two full buses on an outing to Horrocks Market to do some variety shopping; we found plants, flowers, soups, gelato, decor, and more!

Did you know you could also enjoy live music as you shop, or sit and eat fresh foods in a green sanctuary dining area? Today, we made shopping fun! 🪴🌻🍨

“Pie Face” is a game for all ages, especially if you’re looking for a good laugh! Residents rolled the dice to determine how many “clicks” away our willing volunteers were from getting a “pie” to the face. At least it tasted good! 😝🎲
