With the elderberry harvest starting next week, we needed to clean out the freezer of last years berries. So we canned a total of 154 cups of elderberry syrup! That’s a lot! Big thanks to our WWOOFers extraordinaire Zoe, Perla, and Sydney for the many hours they spent in the boiling hot kitchen finishing this big project.
Let me know if you want my syrup recipe for canning!
The elderberries are getting close! We are excited to begin picking them next week.

I live inside a cloud.
“But mom, where is it’s face?” This is what Isaac asked about the turkey. 😂 Andrew raised, butchered, and cooked this year’s bird. The experience was a little disorienting for Isaac. But if you eat meat, you should know that at some point it did in fact have a face (and hopefully a good life on a local farm). Happy Thanksgiving!
