What a difference 1 and a mini row can make.
As we head into (hopefully) warmer weather, remember to never use sunscreen with avobenzone on your body or face, or let anyone meet you spray it! It can permanently discolor your blonde extensions turning them a weird peachy/pink, and they will be ruined.

Last summer this babe wanted to go BLONDE. Super bright. All the foils. New extensions.
Over the next few months she wanted to let her color grow out and take a break from heavy foiling. We would tone her natural hair to maintain a cooler blonde, but as more of her natural color grew in, we added lowlights to her extension hair to keep everything super blended.
Low maintenance color can look however you want, what’s important to know what you prioritize. Is it maintaining brightness around your face? Less foiling less frequently? Grey coverage/blending?

The sun shined for like 40 minutes today and I’m ready for all the blondes.
But the biggest thing to remember with blondes, especially extensions, is you need multiple color wefts to make the most seamless blend.
She has 4 different shades of extensions here to perfectly match her natural color. We root and tone everything for the icing on top.
Don’t be afraid of dimension with your extensions. If that tray of hair is all solid platinum blonde, even if you’re pretty bright naturally, it will be a dead giveaway.

“Comparison is the thief of joy”
Whenever I’m scrolling through social media and find myself starting to feel bad about myself or my journey or whatever, I remind myself of this⬆️
And then ask myself some questions.
“Am I feeling bad about myself because I’m comparing my current reality with someone’s online highlight reel?” If the answer is yes, it’s time to stop scrolling and shake that off and be grateful for my unique journey.
“Am I feeling bad because I’m seeing someone pursue goals that I also have, but I’m not doing anything about?”
“Can I take action to get closer to those goals?” If the answer is yes, it’s also time to stop scrolling, and do something that will help me feel closer to those goals.
A lot of negativity with social media, for me, comes from seeing someone else accomplish something I’ve been wanting but haven’t been taking action towards getting.
Time to stop comparing, start being grateful for where you are, and take the steps, however small you start, to get to where you want to be. 💖

Y’all. Hormones are crazy and have such an affect on our hair.

We used a really slow moving lightener to keep her baby fine hair super healthy and finished with 2 rows of seamless hand tied extensions.

The best way to extend the longevity of your extension hair: keep it hydrated.
Dry hair is more prone to breakage. Show those locks some love with a weekly deep conditioning mask in the shower and oil nightly before bed.
Think about it. If your hair is dry enough you can get away with only shampooing once or twice a week, it’s in definite need of extra moisture.
The .murphy rinses and masks will get you the hydration you need without making you feel oily or heavy.
Top it off with a few pumps of Young Again oil treatment every night and 👩‍🍳💋

Rinse your scalp thoroughly and then just wring the excess water out of your ends. Your strands will absorb those much needed antioxidants and moisture for shinier hair without the heaviness.
