Happy belated Mother’s Day to all you amazing mama’s out there! I spent Mother’s Day with my favorite people for 4 days on the Rogue River (hence the delayed Mother’s Day post).

Being a mama has been both my greatest accomplishment, and the most challenging phase of growth and change in my life. I’m so grateful for the boys who made me a mama, and for the support I offer other mama’s. We’re all super hero’s mama’s!! 🙌🏼

This is me at the end of my pregnancy with my second baby. I was MISERABLE, covered in poison oak, ginormous, and so so uncomfortable. It was a million degrees and I was very much over being pregnant. I hated this picture when I first saw it. Now I love it because it reminds me how incredibly BAD ASS mama’s are. We go to amazing lengths for our babies 🥰🥰

I just came back from my quarterly 46 hour MOMcation! It was a particularly special one as I said goodbye to producing milk. It’s been 4 years and 8 months between my two boys.🤱🏼 I wanted to honor this time and give my body, and mind space to transition.

I had a sweet ceremony with my youngest (and family) to help him process this big change. Then went on the most epic MOMcation I’ve had. I hiked the Rogue River Trail to Whiskey Creek while processing the superpower of mama’s. I grieved losing my mama super power while also being so grateful for nearly 5 years of producing milk. I also spent a lot of time in bed relaxing ☺️ 📖

For mama’s entering this phase, I used Clary Sage infused shea butter on my breasts to help dry the milk. A lactation consultant friend also recommended a tight bra to “tuck those girls away.” I’ve had no issues with engorgement 🎉

I HIGHLY recommend a MOMcation to all mama’s! Having time and space to only take care of YOU is the best, in my opinion, way to fill your cup and go back to your family present, calm, and patient.

Also, massage is always a second best way to reset 😉
